O popular Zenbook 14 está de volta este ano com uma nova CPU Ryzen 7 7000 série U, visual renovado e a conhecida tela sensível ao toque OLED DCI-P3 de 90 Hz. O desempenho geral, no entanto, está mais alinhado com um Ultrabook de médio porte do passado.

O ZenBook 14 UM3402Y é o modelo mais recente da família de Zenbooks da Asus, cada vez mais cheia. Mais uma vez, ele tem um novo design que se distingue do atual 2022 Zenbook 14 UM425 ou Zenbook 14X OLED.

Nossa unidade em análise é uma SKU de ponta com a CPU Ryzen 7 7730U, 16 GB de RAM LPDDR4X e tela sensível ao toque OLED de 14 polegadas 2.8K 90 Hz por US$ 870. Case - NanoEdge em preto jade

As mudanças físicas mais notáveis em comparação com o ZenBook 14 UM425U do ano passado são as portas reposicionadas e a parte traseira redesenhada. Mais especificamente, as dobradiças têm novos acabamentos prateados e a parte traseira da tampa agora é mais plana, sem design em forma de gancho. O efeito ErgoLift permanece e, portanto, a base ainda se eleva em um leve ângulo quando a tampa é aberta.

A rigidez do chassi é praticamente a mesma de antes, apesar das mudanças estéticas. A tentativa de flexionar a base ou a tampa resultaria em um pouco mais de rangidos e deformações do que no modelo mais rígido HP Spectre x360 13.5 ou no Dell XPS 13 9300. Felizmente, a flexão não é tão ruim quanto no Laptop Framework ou em um antigo VivoBook 14mais antigo, no entanto.

Estranhamente, a AS SSD afirma uma taxa de transferência de quase 205 MB/s com o nosso cartão MicroSD AV PRO V60, enquanto as taxas de transferência no mundo real com nossos arquivos de teste de 1 GB seriam muito mais lentas, com 68 MB/s. Vários novos testes não resultaram em mudanças. Comunicação

O MediaTek MT7922 é o padrão para suporte a Wi-Fi 6E e Bluetooth 5.2. Não tivemos problemas de desempenho quando emparelhado com nossa rede Wi-Fi 6E de 6 GHz. No entanto, quando emparelhado com nossa rede Wi-Fi 6 de 5 GHz, as taxas de transmissão eram excepcionalmente lentas, com apenas ~350 Mbps, mesmo após vários testes.

Manutenção

Teclado

As teclas do teclado oferecem 1,4 mm de curso, o que é típico de muitos Ultrabooks. O feedback das teclas é mediano, se não ligeiramente mais suave, quando comparado com as teclas mais firmes do HP Spectre x360 13.5. A tecla Enter, em particular, poderia ter se beneficiado de um feedback mais forte e mais satisfatório quando pressionada.

Touchpad

O clickpad (13 x 7,4 cm) é ligeiramente mais longo e mais estreito do que os clickpads do Spectre x360 13.5 (12,5 x 8 cm) ou do Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 (11,5 x 8 cm), mas, mesmo assim, é espaçoso. A tração é muito suave, com apenas um pouco de aderência em velocidades mais lentas para entradas mais precisas.

O clique no clickpad é visivelmente mais firme e mais alto do que na maioria dos outros clickpads de Ultrabook, inclusive nos modelos HP e Dell mencionados anteriormente. O clickpad do Zenbook é, portanto, mais satisfatório de usar, mesmo que o deslocamento ainda seja superficial.

O novo Zenbook utiliza um painel OLED Samsung ATNA40YK07 semelhante ao encontrado no Acer Predator Triton 300 SE ou no Swift 3 SF314. Assim, a experiência de visualização entre os três modelos é essencialmente idêntica com sua resolução de 1800p, cores DCI-P3 completas e taxa de atualização de 90 Hz.

A Asus anuncia um pico de brilho de 550 nits, o que só pode ser confirmado ao exibir conteúdo HDR. Ao executar este teste HDRpor exemplo, conseguimos registrar um brilho máximo de 542 nits em nossa unidade de teste. Caso contrário, o brilho máximo é limitado a apenas ~340 nits ao exibir conteúdo SDR, o que ainda está de acordo com a maioria dos subnotebooks baseados em IPS.

A oscilação está presente em todos os brilhos, assim como na maioria das outras telas OLED. Conseguimos medir uma frequência de oscilação de 362 Hz em nossa unidade específica.

The frequency of 362.3 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8743 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured.

Embora o Ryzen 7 7730U seja uma CPU da série 7000, sua arquitetura subjacente é baseada na plataforma Zen 3 em vez da mais nova Zen 3+ ou Zen 4. Ruído do sistema - agudo ao operar cargas exigentes

O ventilador interno é silencioso durante cargas baixas, como navegação ou streaming de vídeo. Em geral, ela oscila em 28,8 dB(A) ou menos contra um fundo silencioso de 22,6 dB(A), o que é baixo o suficiente para ser quase inaudível em salas de aula ou ambientes de escritório.

Infelizmente, o ruído do ventilador é agudo e mais perceptível ao executar cargas mais exigentes, como jogos. Por menos de US$ 900, o Zenbook 14 UM3402Y é atraente, especialmente por sua tela sensível ao toque OLED de 90 Hz e qualidade de construção geralmente superior à de um Asus VivoBook, HP Pavilion ou Lenovo IdeaPad alternativo.
