O ThinkBook 14 2 em 1 G4 deste ano substitui o antigo 2021 ThinkBook 14s Yoga com novas opções de processador e um design de chassi atualizado. Ele não deve ser confundido com o ThinkBook 14 G4 clamshell que apresenta um design totalmente diferente com recursos diferentes.

Nossa unidade de teste em análise é a configuração básica com a CPU Core Ultra 5 125U Meteor Lake-U, 16 GB de RAM DDR5-5600 removível e uma tela sensível ao toque IPS de 14 polegadas 1200p por aproximadamente US$ 1.200. Uma configuração mais avançada vem com o Core Ultra 7 155U e até 32 GB de RAM, mas a tela sensível ao toque de 1200p e os gráficos integrados são fixos.

Ao contrário da série ThinkPad totalmente preta e profissional, a série ThinkBook é prateada e tem uma textura mais suave para agradar tanto às pequenas empresas quanto aos usuários de escritórios domésticos. O ThinkBook 14 2 em 1 G4 mantém os materiais de liga metálica do ThinkBook Plus Twist G4 ou do ThinkBook 16 G6 para uma aparência consistente. No entanto, o chassi é um pouco mais suscetível a torções do que o modelo Yoga 9 ou o modelo HP Spectre e, portanto, o ThinkBook não é tão rígido.

O modelo é um pouco maior e mais pesado do que seu antecessor de 2021 devido à transição para 16:10. Acessórios e garantia

Uma caneta stylus ativa (WE03 MI4081) está incluída na caixa de varejo. Desta vez, no entanto, a caneta é fixada ao laptop magneticamente na lateral, enquanto a caneta era integrada ao design antigo de 2021 por meio de uma garagem especial para canetas. Dispositivos de entrada - teclado e clickpad confortáveis

Teclado

O layout do teclado resistente a derramamentos foi revisado em comparação com o ThinkBook 14s Yoga 2021. As teclas de seta e a primeira linha de teclas de função, em particular, agora são maiores e menos apertadas, enquanto o espaço entre as teclas QWERTY foi reduzido em favor de teclas ligeiramente maiores.

O feedback ao digitar parece uniforme entre cada tecla, com resistência adequada e ruído semelhante ao do IdeaPad. No entanto, ainda achamos que os teclados de um ThinkPad ou da série HP Envy e Spectre são mais firmes e, portanto, mais satisfatórios para digitar.

Touchpad

Tela - Cores excelentes, mas média no geral

O ThinkBook 14 2 em 1 G4 utiliza uma versão atualizada do painel encontrado no IdeaPad Flex 5 14. A gama de cores agora abrange o padrão sRGB completo, em comparação com apenas 45% NTSC ou 60% sRGB no Aspire 5 Spin 14 ou no VivoBook Flip 14. Como resultado direto, as cores são visivelmente mais profundas e vivas.

O Core Ultra 5 125U tem desempenho dentro de um dígito de pontos percentuais do Core i5-1335U. Portanto, o desempenho bruto não melhorou significativamente de um ano para o outro. O principal fator de diferenciação entre o Core Ultra 5 125U e as CPUs da geração anterior é, portanto, a nova NPU integrada para aceleração local de IA. No entanto, a NPU tem aplicações limitadas no momento, até que o Windows possa integrar mais recursos de IA em um futuro próximo.

Teste de estresse

A taxa de clock média da CPU, a temperatura e o consumo de energia do pacote ao iniciar o Prime95 atingiriam 3,2 GHz, 100 C e 49 W, respectivamente, durando cerca de 15 segundos antes de cair rapidamente e se estabilizar em 1,7 GHz, 73 C e 25 W. O Turbo Boost é, portanto, insustentável por longos períodos, conforme sugerido pelos resultados do CineBench acima.

A taxa de clock e a temperatura da GPU durante a execução Witcher 3 se estabilizariam em 1850 MHz e 68 C, respectivamente, em comparação com 2250 MHz e 80 C no Yoga Slim 7 14 G9, mais caro, com gráficos Arc 8 mais rápidos.

Desempenho do sistema

Os resultados do PCMark são superiores aos do ThinkBook 14s Yoga mais antigo devido à diferença de várias gerações entre os processadores. Observe que nossos resultados do AIDA64 são muito mais lentos do que a maioria dos outros notebooks, pois nossa configuração vem com apenas um módulo DDR5; dois podem ser instalados no checkout ou pelo usuário final. Uma configuração de canal duplo provavelmente melhoraria ainda mais as pontuações do PCMark.

Tivemos problemas ao acordar do modo de suspensão em várias ocasiões em que a unidade travava em uma tela em branco, exigindo uma reinicialização forçada. Não sabemos ao certo a causa ou se esse é um problema generalizado, mas vale a pena observar.

Desempenho da GPU - Gráficos Arc integrados de 4 núcleos

Ao contrário da série Core Ultra H, que vem com o impressionante processador integrado Arc 8integrado, o Core Ultra série U vem apenas com a variante integrada mais lenta de de 4 núcleos integrada mais lenta. A iGPU Arc 4 é mais de 50% mais lenta do que a Arc 8, sendo quase idêntica à antiga Iris Xe 96 EUs. Os usuários que esperam ganhos significativos ou até mesmo pequenos na GPU em relação ao ThinkBook 14s Yoga de três anos ficarão desapontados.

A execução do F1 22 ou do Baldur's Gate 3 em configurações altas ou superiores travaria o sistema. Também tivemos essa experiência em outros notebooks Meteor Lake.

Ruído do sistema

O ruído da ventoinha é quase sempre silencioso e até imperceptível em alguns casos. Ao executar o 3DMark 06, por exemplo, o ruído da ventoinha permaneceu abaixo de 30 dB(A) durante toda a primeira cena de benchmark de 90 segundos, enquanto o Aspire 5 Spin 14 ou o VivoBook Flip 14 ficariam muito mais altos e muito mais rapidamente em condições semelhantes. Portanto, a pulsação da ventoinha é um problema menor no ThinkBook durante conferências ou transmissões de vídeo.

Por outro lado, o ruído da ventoinha aumenta bastante ao executar cargas mais exigentes por períodos prolongados. Conseguimos atingir um nível de ruído de 45 dB(A) após a execução de Witcher 3 durante vários minutos, o que é muito mais alto do que no antigo ThinkBook 14s Yoga e no mesmo nível do Aspire 5 Spin 14.

A marcha lenta no desktop consome entre 2 W e 7 W para ser visivelmente menor do que as alternativas concorrentes, o que pode explicar a duração extremamente longa da bateria ao executar cargas pouco exigentes. Por outro lado, o consumo de energia torna-se quase idêntico ao do ThinkBook 14s Yoga 2021 ao executar cargas mais exigentes, como jogos ou Prime95. O desempenho por watt é, portanto, significativamente melhor do que o antigo Core i7-1165G7 no que diz respeito ao desempenho do processador, embora permaneça estável em termos de desempenho gráfico.

Conseguimos registrar um consumo máximo de 67 W do pequeno (~5,5 x 5,5 x 2,8 cm) adaptador CA USB-C com tomada de parede ao iniciar o estresse do Prime95.

A capacidade da bateria ainda é de 60 Wh, apesar de todas as mudanças internas e externas. No entanto, o tempo de execução da WLAN é praticamente o mesmo, com quase 11 horas de navegação na Web no mundo real. Tarefas menos exigentes, como processamento de texto, durariam ainda mais do que antes devido à introdução de núcleos de CPU de baixo consumo de energia desde Tiger Lake.

O carregamento da capacidade vazia até a capacidade total leva cerca de 90 minutos com o Lenovo Rapid Charge ativado. Observamos que o sistema depende exclusivamente do carregamento universal por USB-C, enquanto o Aspire 5 Spin 14 ainda vem com um carregador de barril CA proprietário.

Os melhores aspectos do ThinkBook 14 2 em 1 G4 são o design externo suave, o teclado e o clickpad confortáveis, a facilidade de manutenção e as amplas opções de portas. Ele não impõe ao usuário nenhum recurso sofisticado e, portanto, todos os recursos básicos são confiáveis. Afinal, trata-se principalmente de um laptop para trabalho com uma estética mais atraente para a geração do milênio.

Talvez os aspectos mais decepcionantes do novo ThinkBook sejam o desempenho gráfico e o preço. A GPU Arc integrada de 4 núcleos não oferece grandes benefícios em relação às Iris Xe 96 EUs de 4 anos de idade, mesmo quando configurada com a CPU Core Ultra 7 de última geração. A Lenovo está pedindo até US$ 1.200 pelo ThinkBook 14 2 em 1 G4, o que é difícil de justificar, considerando que a GPU é quase nada melhor do que o 2021 ThinkPad 14s Yoga. Se o senhor trabalha muito com processamento de imagens ou edição de vídeo, então o IdeaPad Pro 5 14AHP9 mais barato, será muito mais rápido, enquanto o muito superior Yoga 9 2 em 1 14IMH9 muito superior, custará apenas um pouco mais.

O ThinkBook 14 2 em 1 G4 foi esteticamente projetado para escritórios domésticos, salas de conferência e teletrabalhadores em viagem e, por isso, é excelente em termos de duração da bateria e facilidade de uso. No entanto, a GPU fraca e a remoção da garagem para canetas são grandes limitações para editores gráficos e usuários de canetas stylus.

Há várias maneiras de tornar o ThinkBook 14 2 em 1 G4 mais competitivo, como um preço-alvo menor de US$ 1.000, opções adicionais de tela ou até mesmo opções de CPU AMD, já que a Radeon 780M é uma força a ser reconhecida. O modelo semiprofissional é excelente em processamento de texto e multimídia ocasional, mas os aplicativos mais exigentes se beneficiarão significativamente em alternativas com o Arc 8 integrado mais rápido ou com a Radeon 680M/780M.
