A série Yoga 9 é o lar dos laptops mais sofisticados da Lenovo para consumidores em geral, em contraste com a série Yoga 7 ou a série IdeaPad, mais acessíveis.

Case - Molduras mais finas em todos os lugares

O chassi de alumínio CNC retornou, mas com vários ajustes. O mais notável é que a tampa agora é menor nas laterais e na parte inferior, para que os engastes sejam ligeiramente mais estreitos. Quando fechada, a diferença de tamanho entre a base e a tampa fica evidente, pois a base parece mais larga e arredondada, como mostram as imagens abaixo. Isso contrasta com a maioria dos outros laptops em que a tampa e a base ficam alinhadas ao longo das bordas quando estão na posição fechada.

A próxima mudança física está relacionada à borda superior ao longo da webcam, que agora se projeta mais do que antes. Essa seção mais espessa da moldura superior permitiu a instalação de uma webcam de 5 MP mais avançada em comparação com a webcam de 2 MP do design do ano passado. Isso também torna a tampa mais fácil de segurar e abrir, especialmente quando comparada com a do HP Spectre x360 14 design.

Webcam

A nova webcam de 5 MP certamente produz imagens mais nítidas do que o sensor de 2 MP do modelo mais antigo. Mesmo assim, as cores não melhoraram e ela ainda está um pouco atrás dos sensores de 9 MP dos laptops HP mais recentes.

Manutenção

O painel inferior é fixado por apenas quatro parafusos Torx. Mesmo assim, a manutenção é, infelizmente, mais difícil do que parece, pois o painel está muito bem preso à base ao longo das bordas. A tentativa de reinstalar o painel é, consequentemente, mais irritante do que o necessário pelo mesmo motivo. Também encontramos esse mesmo problema no design do ano passado.

A RAM e a WLAN permanecem soldadas. O armazenamento, no entanto, agora está limitado a SSDs NVMe de 42 mm, enquanto o design do ano passado podia suportar unidades de até 80 mm, conforme mostrado nas imagens de comparação abaixo.

Acessórios e garantia

A caixa de varejo inclui uma capa de transporte de tecido e a Lenovo Slim Pen para acompanhar a documentação e o adaptador CA. Infelizmente, a caneta não é nada ergonômica, pois é muito pequena para ser segurada confortavelmente e seus botões integrados são muito esponjosos quando pressionados. As canetas de tamanho pequeno eram mais compreensíveis para os modelos mais antigos do Yoga que tinham compartimentos para canetas integrados, mas não há desculpa para não fornecer canetas maiores e de melhor qualidade agora que a caneta não fica mais dentro do chassi do Yoga. A Microsoft Surface Pen, por exemplo, é mais grossa e mais fácil de segurar do que a Lenovo Slim Pen.

A garantia padrão limitada de um ano do fabricante se aplica quando comprada nos EUA.

Dispositivos de entrada - Teclas auxiliares maiores

Teclado

A Lenovo está dobrando a coluna de teclas auxiliares ao longo da borda direita do teclado, o que nos causou certa confusão no design do ano passado. Essas teclas agora são maiores e têm funções diferentes das anteriores, incluindo uma nova tecla definida pelo usuário para maior personalização. No entanto, ainda é fácil acertar uma dessas teclas por acidente, pois elas estão posicionadas onde normalmente ficam as teclas Backspace, Enter e seta na maioria dos outros laptops.

As teclas QWERTY principais permanecem inalteradas em termos de tato e feedback para uma experiência de digitação semelhante à do 2022 Yoga 9i 14. O feedback é firme, mas superficial, enquanto a tecla Espaço é visivelmente mais alta do que o resto do teclado.

Touchpad

O tamanho do clickpad aumentou para 13,5 x 8 cm, o que o torna muito espaçoso para um formato de 14 polegadas. O clickpad do Inspiron 14 Plus 7440por exemplo, tem "apenas" 11,5 x 8 cm em comparação. A tração é muito suave, quase sem aderência, mesmo ao deslizar em velocidades mais lentas. O clique também é firme e com feedback mais forte do que na maioria dos outros subnotebooks, proporcionando uma sensação mais satisfatória. O "clique" agudo pode ser um pouco alto, mas não achamos que isso seja um problema.

A taxa de atualização da tela agora é de 120 Hz, em vez dos 90 Hz do modelo do ano passado. Fora isso, todo o resto parece ser o mesmo, inclusive as cores P3 completas, a resolução de 1800p e o painel OLED. Teria sido ótimo ver o suporte à taxa de atualização variável do Windows para diferenciar melhor o Yoga 9 2 em 1 14 de alternativas como o Spectre x360 14 ou ZenBook 14, que também vêm com telas OLED de 1800p120.

Há suporte para HDR500. Conseguimos registrar um brilho máximo de 567 nits ao reproduzir conteúdo HDR, em comparação com 372 nits se estiver no modo SDR. Como de costume, o modo HDR é desativado se o usuário estiver usando a bateria.

Infelizmente, a tela sofre do mesmo mesmo efeito moiré do modelo do ano passado o que significa que a tela parece granulada, apesar da sobreposição brilhante e da alta densidade de pixels. Não é grave o suficiente para distrair, mas a granulação é, no entanto, perceptível quando colocada lado a lado com outro laptop OLED, como o Asus ZenBook 14. Se o senhor quiser a experiência OLED "mais nítida", terá que ir além do Yoga 9 2 em 1 14.

Observe que a tela é configurada para 60 Hz por padrão e, portanto, os usuários precisarão ativar manualmente o modo 120 Hz por meio do Windows.

This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 240.5 Hz is relatively low, so sensitive users will likely notice flickering and experience eyestrain at the stated brightness setting and below.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8710 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured.

A execução do Prime95 faria com que a CPU atingisse 3,1 GHz e 66 W por alguns segundos ou até atingir uma temperatura de núcleo de 105 C. Depois disso, as taxas de clock e o consumo de energia da placa cairiam e se estabilizariam em 2,4 GHz e 39 W, respectivamente, para manter uma temperatura de núcleo mais razoável de 80 C. O potencial limitado do Turbo Boost é comum em laptops ultrafinos e o comportamento corresponde às nossas observações do CineBench R15 xT acima. Repetindo esse teste no Inspiron 14 Plus 7440 faria com que a CPU se estabilizasse com taxas de clock ligeiramente mais altas (~2,7 GHz) e consumo de energia da placa (44 W), mas com uma temperatura central muito mais quente de 100 C.

Repetir o teste acima no modo Balanced resultaria em números mais baixos em toda a placa, como mostra a captura de tela abaixo. A taxa de clock da CPU, a temperatura e o consumo de energia da placa cairiam para apenas 1,6 GHz, 71 C e 25 W, respectivamente.

A taxa de clock e a temperatura da GPU, quando em execução Witcher 3 para representar cargas típicas de jogos ficariam em torno de 2,0 GHz e 74 C, respectivamente, em comparação com 1,8 a 2,3 GHz no sistema Dell mencionado anteriormente.

Desempenho do sistema

As pontuações do PCMark são notavelmente mais altas do que as de muitos modelos concorrentes com a mesma CPU Core Ultra 7. Isso pode ser parcialmente atribuído à RAM de 7467 MHz, mais rápida do que a média, que afeta o desempenho da iGPU. A RAM do sistema no Inspiron 14 Plus 7440, por exemplo, é um pouco mais lenta, com 6400 MHz.

Nossa unidade de teste é fornecida com o modelo de médio porte Samsung MZAL81T0HDLB PCIe4 x4 NVMe SSD. As taxas de transferência de 6200 MB/s são sustentavelmente um pouco mais lentas do que a unidade SK Hynix no modelo do ano passado. Intel Arc 8 é cerca de 50 a 60 por cento mais rápida do que as Iris Xe 96 EUs encontradas no Yoga 9 14IRP8 do ano passado. O aumento de desempenho é suficiente para colocar a nova iGPU da Intel lado a lado com a concorrente Radeon 780M em nossos títulos testados.

Ruído do sistema

O piso e o teto do ruído do ventilador são praticamente idênticos aos que registramos no modelo 2023 com 23,6 dB(A) e 46 dB(A), respectivamente. Entretanto, o modelo 2024 é capaz de permanecer mais silencioso por mais tempo antes de atingir as RPMs máximas. Ao executar o 3DMark 06, por exemplo, o ruído da ventoinha atingiria apenas 35 dB(A) no final da primeira cena do benchmark, em comparação com 45 dB(A) no modelo do ano passado. A execução do Witcher 3 para representar cargas típicas de jogos também é visivelmente mais silenciosa nos modos Balanced e Performance. Foi só quando a CPU foi estressada com o Prime95 e o FurMark que registramos um máximo de 46 dB(A).

O desenvolvimento da temperatura é simétrico devido à solução de resfriamento simétrica interna. Portanto, os pontos de calor estão mais próximos do centro do teclado, ao contrário do Spectre x360 14 ou do Inspiron 14 Plus 7440 onde os pontos quentes estão mais voltados para a metade direita e esquerda do chassi, respectivamente. Funcionamento Witcher 3 o desempenho gráfico do Yoga 9 14IRP G8 exige cerca de 51 W, apenas alguns watts a mais do que no Yoga 9 14IRP G8, apesar do aumento de 50% no desempenho gráfico. Embora mais exigente do que o que registramos no ZenBook 14 ou no Spectre x360 14, o Lenovo ainda oferece um desempenho impressionante por watt em relação à última geração de gráficos Iris Xe. Os notebooks que utilizam o AMD 780M, como o ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2são praticamente comparáveis no que diz respeito ao consumo de energia.

Conseguimos registrar um consumo máximo de 69 W do pequeno adaptador CA USB-C de 65 W (~9 x 4,5 x 2,7 cm) quando a CPU está com 100% de utilização. Como os jogos já utilizam quase 80% da saída do adaptador CA, é de se esperar que o carregamento seja lento ao executar cargas exigentes simultaneamente.

O Yoga 9 2 em 1 14 de 2024 aprimora vários aspectos importantes da versão 2023. O mais significativo é o processador Meteor-Lake, mais eficiente, que oferece um desempenho multi-thread 20% mais rápido e um desempenho gráfico 50% mais rápido do que o modelo anterior. O segundo aspecto da lista é o tamanho menor, o que resulta em menos peso e maior portabilidade. Os usuários que gostam de jogar ou editar em qualquer lugar podem achar que o novo Yoga 9 2 em 1 14 vale mais a pena do que as gerações anteriores como resultado dessas atualizações.

Por outro lado, o novo modelo mantém muitas das mesmas desvantagens importantes de seu antecessor. O mais notável é a tela OLED levemente granulada que mantém o efeito moiré que notamos no modelo 2023. O painel inferior continua sendo muito difícil de remover e reinstalar, enquanto a coluna de teclas auxiliares grandes pode ser um problema para os digitadores. Se o senhor valoriza o formato conversível e a tela sensível ao toque OLED, então o HP Spectre x360 14 ou Asus ZenBook 14 Flip 2 em 1 podem oferecer experiências semelhantes, mas com telas OLED mais nítidas, especialmente porque agora todos eles têm as mesmas opções de processador Meteor Lake e resolução de 1800p.
