Os modelos GEM da Aoostar são visualmente semelhantes. Com 13 x 13 centímetros, o Aoostar GEM12 ocupa um pouco mais de espaço na mesa do que o Aoostar GEM10 (10,7 x 10,7 centímetros). Acessórios

Manutenção

Sabendo que o Aoostar GEM12 é oferecido como uma versão barebone, entre outras coisas, é importante que o dispositivo seja fácil de abrir. Para acessar os slots de SSD ou RAM, somente a parte inferior precisa ser removida. Os quatro parafusos que prendem a tampa ao gabinete estão localizados sob os pés de borracha. O senhor deve ter cuidado ao abrir a tampa para não danificar as antenas WLAN. Há também um pequeno ventilador na parte inferior. Após remover a placa de base, os dois slots de SSD e os dois slots SO-DIMM ficam facilmente acessíveis. Desempenho - Sempre oito núcleos e 16 threads no Aoostar GEM12

O Aoostar GEM12 é uma potência compacta e oferece oito núcleos com 16 threads em todas as configurações. No teste, vamos nos dedicar ao AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS - o modelo mais rápido atualmente instalado no GEM12. Como alternativa, o senhor também pode mudar para o AMD Ryzen 7 7840HSou o AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX. Equipado com 32 GB de RAM e um SSD de 1 TB, o Aoostar GEM12 também pode lidar com tarefas que exigem muita memória. De acordo com o fabricante, é possível instalar um máximo de 128 GB de RAM DDR5 rápida.

O AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS é baseado na arquitetura Zen4 e combina oito núcleos de computação nativos, o que garante uma alta velocidade de trabalho. No entanto, o Aoostar GEM12 não consegue superar substancialmente seus concorrentes. Juntamente com o AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, o Acemagic AM18 oferece praticamente o mesmo desempenho, embora um AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX seja cerca de dez pontos percentuais mais lento em nossa classificação. Se dermos uma olhada no modelo superior da Intel - Core 9 Ultra 185H - que está instalado no Minisforum AtomMan X7 Ti, não há diferença de desempenho à primeira vista. No entanto, nos testes individuais, o modelo da Intel oferece quase 10 a 15% a mais de desempenho multi-thread.

Temperatura

O invólucro de metal distribui muito bem o calor resultante. Documentamos uma área na parte superior como o ponto mais quente, onde medimos cerca de 46 °C na superfície. Os componentes são ventilados por cima e por baixo. Duas ventoinhas funcionam aqui para aspirar ar fresco. Entretanto, a ventoinha inferior fornece ar fresco apenas para o armazenamento em massa e a RAM, enquanto a ventoinha instalada na parte superior resfria o processador. Esse conceito de resfriamento funciona e, com um máximo de 84,4 °C, não há nada a criticar em termos de temperatura. O Aoostar GEM12 é ideal em combinação com o AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS e é um minicomputador potente com muito desempenho. Juntamente com 32 GB de RAM e 1 TB de espaço de armazenamento, o computador compacto é ideal para muitas tarefas. No entanto, em termos de desempenho relativo, o Aoostar GEM12 não consegue se destacar de seus concorrentes, pois eles também oferecem um desempenho igualmente bom. Em termos visuais, o Aoostar dispensou quaisquer artifícios em nosso dispositivo de teste. Se o senhor ainda valoriza esses pequenos detalhes, pode dar uma olhada no modelo Pro da série, pois ele é equipado com uma pequena tela na parte superior. No entanto, não vemos a necessidade disso.

O Aoostar GEM12 oferece um desempenho impressionante com o AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS. Uma interface moderna e um gabinete de alta qualidade com resfriamento potente são um bom ponto de venda, que anda de mãos dadas com um preço justo.

Com relação ao preço de compra, o Aoostar GEM12 está significativamente melhor posicionado do que alguns outros minicomputadores dessa classe de desempenho. Isso também se aplica à conectividade do Aoostar GEM12. Com o USB4 e o OCuLink, o fabricante instalou duas interfaces modernas que certamente podem influenciar a decisão de compra. No entanto, a Aoostar não pode reivindicar isso como um ponto de venda exclusivo, pois a Minisforum já integrou a conexão OCuLink em alguns de seus modelos. Apesar do resfriamento ativo, há uma perda mínima de desempenho sob carga. O Aoostar GEM10 foi capaz de proporcionar um desempenho mais estável da SSD com uma unidade de resfriamento mais potente. Outro pequeno ponto fraco é o desempenho da conexão sem fio. Não conseguimos entender por que o fabricante não instalou o Wi-Fi 6E, já que o Aoostar está equipado com conexões modernas, como USB4 e OCuLink. Felizmente, o módulo sem fio não está instalado de forma permanente e pode ser substituído. Além disso, o usuário ainda tem duas interfaces de 2,5 GBit disponíveis, o que não é necessariamente o padrão para mini-PCs.
