Case e conectividade - O Swift possui duas portas Thunderbolt 4

O gabinete angular do laptop não apresenta nenhuma falha de construção. A Acer escolheu um alumínio prateado (Pure Silver) com uma superfície lisa e fosca. É um pouco difícil abrir o portátil com uma mão devido à sua dobradiça rígida e baixo peso. A bateria (aparafusada, não colada), bem como o restante das entranhas do laptop, podem ser acessados depois que o senhor remover a parte inferior do gabinete.

Duas portas USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1) e duas portas USB-C (Thunderbolt 4/USB 4; Power Delivery, DisplayPort) estão a bordo. No total, o laptop oferece até três saídas de vídeo (1x HDMI, 2x DP). A webcam QHD (3,7 MP, máx. 2.560 x 1.440 pixels) alcança resultados bastante decentes. Não entendemos muito bem por que ela não possui uma tampa.

Em condições ideais (sem dispositivos WiFi nas proximidades, curta distância entre o laptop e o PC servidor), ele atinge taxas de dados WiFi muito boas. O laptop usa um chip WiFi 6E (Intel AX211).

Dispositivos de entrada - O laptop Acer com um teclado retroiluminado

As teclas iluminadas do teclado chiclet (2 configurações de brilho) apresentam uma elevação curta e um ponto de pressão claro. Sua resistência poderia ser um pouco melhor. O teclado se deforma levemente quando o usuário digita, mas isso não é particularmente irritante. Em suma, a Acer forneceu um teclado adequado para o uso diário - mesmo assim, ele certamente não é considerado um dos melhores dispositivos de entrada do mercado. Um clickpad habilitado para multitoque (cerca de 10,5 x 6,5 cm) substitui a necessidade de um mouse. Ele apresenta uma elevação curta e um ponto de pressão claro.

Desempenho - Raptor Lake traz a potência

O Swift Go 14 da Acer é um laptop portátil de 14 polegadas com tela OLED e gabinete de alumínio. O Raptor Lake (U ou H) oferece potência suficiente para uso em escritório e na Internet, além de jogos simples. No momento em que este artigo foi escrito, o dispositivo de teste atual é o mais barato da série, custando cerca de US$ 800.

Condições de teste

É possível alternar entre três perfis de desempenho específicos do fabricante (consulte a tabela) usando a combinação de teclas Fn + F - ou, alternativamente, por meio do aplicativo Quick Access pré-instalado. Foram usados os perfis "modo de desempenho" (benchmarks) e "modo silencioso" (teste de bateria).

Os modos de desempenho e normal apresentaram resultados quase idênticos em todos os testes que realizamos. Portanto, o modo normal é ideal para o uso diário, especialmente porque as ventoinhas são usadas de forma mais discreta. Isso pode ser diferente com as variantes Raptor Lake H mais potentes do Swift.

OCore i5-1335Uos 10 núcleos de CPU do Core i5-1335U (2P, 8E) atingem velocidades máximas de clock de 4,6 GHz (P) e 3,4 GHz (E). A carga multithread permanente (CB15 Loop) faz com que as taxas de clock diminuam ligeiramente da primeira para a segunda execução. Depois disso, elas permanecem constantes.

Emissões de ruído

O laptop é um dos mais silenciosos de seu tipo. A unidade de resfriamento instalada geralmente é silenciosa no uso diário (escritório, Internet) e as duas ventoinhas funcionam discretamente com carga média. Ele fica mais alto com carga total: Medimos níveis de pressão sonora de 43,2 dB(A). Esse nível de ruído, que já é baixo, pode ser reduzido ainda mais com o uso do "modo silencioso", às custas de alguma potência de computação.

Negativo: As ventoinhas emitem um ruído sutil de assobio que se torna mais intenso à medida que a velocidade aumenta. Há também um ruído de chocalho dentro do laptop (perceptível apenas no silêncio absoluto).
