Com o Yoga Slim 7x, a Lenovo oferece um laptop multimídia de 14 polegadas que combina o novo Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite com uma tela touchscreen OLED de 90 Hz. Mas será que a boa duração da bateria é suficiente para justificar o alto preço e os problemas de compatibilidade?

Atualmente, a Lenovo oferece dois laptops com os novos processadores ARM da Qualcomm. Além do ThinkPad T14s G6 para clientes corporativos, o fabricante também oferece o Yoga Slim 7x 14 G9 para clientes particulares. Esse é um laptop multimídia com uma tela sensível ao toque OLED 3K de 14,5 polegadas e uma taxa de atualização de 90 Hz. O único processador disponível é o mais lento Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-78-100) sem dual-core Turbo.

O modelo básico com 16 GB de RAM e um SSD de 512 GB custa 1.399 euros (~$1.533), e nossa unidade de teste com 32 GB de RAM e um SSD de 1 TB tem um preço de varejo sugerido de 1.599 euros (~$1.752). Essa versão (incluindo o Windows 11 Home) também está disponível no programa Campus da Lenovo por 1.399 euros (~$1.533).

Case - Alumínio em Cosmic Blue

O Yoga Slim 7x segue o design atual dos laptops da Lenovo, incluindo a protuberância da câmera que não parece particularmente atraente. O laptop está disponível exclusivamente na cor Cosmic Blue, que parece muito escura (quase preta) ou azul vibrante, dependendo do ângulo da luz. A cor nos lembra as versões na cor Midnight dos modelos atuais do MacBook Air, incluindo a suscetibilidade de mostrar impressões digitais.

O gabinete é feito de alumínio e tanto a estabilidade quanto o acabamento são muito bons. A unidade de base é muito estável e não há ruídos de rangidos. Mas o mesmo não acontece com as dobradiças, pois abrir a tampa da tela sempre produz alguns ruídos de rangido, pelo menos em nossa unidade de teste. As dobradiças são bem ajustadas e permitem apenas uma leve oscilação. O ângulo máximo de abertura é de 165 graus. Embora a tampa da tela seja fina, ela ainda é muito estável.

A Lenovo especifica uma espessura de 12,9 mm (~0,5 pol.), mas isso só se aplica à parte frontal da unidade básica. É de 15 mm na parte traseira, o que a Lenovo também deveria especificar. Isso coloca o Slim 7x no meio do campo de dispositivos de comparação, mesmo que com sua tela de 14,5 polegadas também seja um dos mais largos. O peso é de quase 1,3 kg (~2,9 lb), com o carregador compacto de 65 Watts adicionando outros 324 gramas (~11,4 oz).

A Lenovo equipou o Slim 7x exclusivamente com portas USB-C (USB 4.0), abrindo mão até mesmo de uma porta de áudio de 3,5 mm. Mas, pelo menos, o senhor pode carregar o laptop em ambos os lados.

Comunicação

Como todos os dispositivos Snapdragon atuais, o Yoga Slim 7x também é equipado com o módulo FastConnect 7800, que já suporta o Wi-Fi 7. Em combinação com nosso roteador de referência da Asus, as taxas de transferência são muito boas no geral e não tivemos nenhum problema com a qualidade do sinal durante o período de testes.

Acessórios

A caixa inclui uma estação de acoplamento 4 em 1 que oferece uma porta USB-A comum, uma porta HDMI, uma porta VGA e uma porta de áudio de 3,5 mm. Embora isso possa realmente fazer sentido durante a operação estacionária, ter as conexões correspondentes diretamente no laptop seria, obviamente, mais prático em trânsito.

Manutenção

A tampa inferior do gabinete é fixada com apenas quatro parafusos Torx e pode ser removida facilmente. No interior, o senhor tem acesso à bateria aparafusada, às duas ventoinhas e ao SSD M.2-2242. O módulo WLAN também parece ser substituível, mas está coberto por uma unidade de resfriamento que teria de ser removida primeiro. A memória de trabalho é soldada e não pode ser substituída ou expandida.

A Lenovo anuncia uma compensaçãode CO2 de 0,5 toneladas, e o portátil também tem a certificação EPEAT Gold. Por outro lado, com 1,3 watts, o consumo em espera é muito alto e ainda deve ser melhorado por meio de uma atualização. A embalagem consiste principalmente de materiais recicláveis baseados na natureza, e o fabricante também afirma que a embalagem é mantida o mais compacta possível.

Não há surpresas com o teclado, e a Lenovo usa o mesmo teclado que já conhecemos de outros modelos do Yoga. Graças a um toque suficientemente longo e preciso, a experiência de digitação é muito confortável. Somente as teclas maiores tendem a produzir um leve ruído. Embora as teclas de seta pequenas não sejam ideais, não há problemas com o layout. Há uma iluminação branca do teclado em duas etapas que também pode ser ativada automaticamente por meio do sensor de brilho.

Com uma área útil de 13,5 x 8 cm (~5,3 x 3,14 pol.), o ClickPad oferece espaço suficiente para os movimentos do cursor, e as características de deslizamento são muito boas. O pad pode ser clicado na metade inferior, mas o ruído do clique é muito alto. A tela sensível ao toque capacitiva também está disponível para entradas.

A tela sensível ao toque OLED altamente reflexiva impressiona com uma alta resolução de 2944x1840 pixels e uma qualidade de imagem subjetivamente excelente. Ao contrário de muitas outras telas sensíveis ao toque OLED, aqui não há efeito de grade em áreas claras. As cores parecem extremamente vibrantes, o preto é saturado, os movimentos parecem muito suaves graças à taxa de atualização de 90 Hz e os tempos de resposta são muito rápidos. Tanto o brilho quanto a temperatura da cor podem ser ajustados automaticamente às condições de iluminação do ambiente.

A Lenovo especifica um brilho de 500 cd/m² em operação SDR, mas nossa unidade de teste quase não atinge esse valor, com 475 cd/m² em média. Graças ao baixo valor de preto, o contraste máximo é extremamente alto, como é típico para telas OLED. Determinamos um brilho HDR máximo de 986 cd/m² em uma pequena área de imagem e 824 cd/m² com uma imagem quase totalmente branca. Com isso, o Yoga atinge valores de brilho significativamente mais altos do que os atuais painéis OLED da Samsung, sendo que apenas o painel OLED do MateBook X Pro (120 Hz) é ainda mais brilhante.

O perfil P3 já está muito bem calibrado, com todos os desvios de cor abaixo do importante valor-alvo de 3. The frequency of 360 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8710 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured.

Processador - X1E-78-100

O X1E-78-100 é o menor processador Snapdragon X-Elite. Ele não oferece o Turbo dual-core. A velocidade máxima do clock dos 12 núcleos é de 3,4 GHz, e o processador do Slim 7x é capaz de manter essa velocidade por cerca de um minuto. Não é possível ler o TDP com os chips Snapdragon, mas considerando o consumo de energia, ele deve ser de cerca de 50-55 watts a 3,4 GHz. Depois de um minuto, a velocidade do clock começa a variar entre 2,7 e 3,0 GHz, o que corresponde a cerca de 35-45 watts. Nos benchmarks nativos, o desempenho é, portanto, muito bom. Na operação com bateria, o desempenho de vários núcleos cai em cerca de 10%.

Em contrapartida, a situação muda nos benchmarks emulados, em que a unidade de teste continua se comportando de forma estranha, o que também fica muito claro em nosso loop do Cinebench R15. Nos primeiros minutos, a velocidade do clock varia consideravelmente, antes de se estabilizar apenas mais tarde em um nível alto. O Yoga Slim 7x é um companheiro muito ágil na operação cotidiana, e também não tivemos problemas com a estabilidade do sistema. No entanto, como em todos os laptops Snapdragon, nem todos os aplicativos funcionam. Se o senhor não usa apenas os aplicativos comuns do dia a dia na versão mais recente (como o Office, o navegador, streaming de vídeo, etc.), deve pesquisar com antecedência para evitar surpresas desagradáveis. Os dispositivos periféricos que precisam de seus próprios drivers também podem ter alguns problemas de compatibilidade.

Latências DPC

Não foi possível realizar nosso teste de latência padronizado, pois o aplicativo LatencyMon não é executado no sistema ARM. Mas, pelo menos, não há problemas de queda de quadros ao reproduzir um vídeo 4K do YouTube.

Solução de armazenamento

A Lenovo equipou o Slim 7x com um SSD compacto M.2-2242, que está conectado via PCIe 4.0. Nossa unidade de teste usa a versão de 1 TB do Samsung PM9C1a, com 898 GB ainda disponíveis para o usuário após a primeira inicialização. As taxas de transferência da SSD são muito boas e o desempenho permanece completamente estável, mesmo após cargas mais longas. O senhor pode encontrar outros benchmarks de SSD aqui.

Placa de vídeo

O processador integrado Adreno X1-85 é a mais lenta das duas versões, com 3,8 TFLOPS e uma velocidade máxima de clock de 1,2 GHz. A GPU Adreno faz um trabalho muito bom na operação cotidiana, e é possível reproduzir vídeos de alta resolução sem problemas. O desempenho gráfico permanece estável sob carga constante, bem como em operação com bateria.

Desde o lançamento, a Qualcomm distribuiu um driver Beta para nós, testadores. Isso melhora, por exemplo, a compatibilidade com jogos (como o suporte ao Far Cry 5 e a prevenção de travamentos no Cyberpunk 2077). A própria Qualcomm não disponibiliza esse driver ao público para download, mas ele será distribuído em algum momento usando as atualizações regulares do Windows ou do fabricante. Até o momento deste teste, isso ainda não aconteceu.

Em geral, o desempenho dos jogos é significativamente pior do que com as iGPUs da AMD ou da Intel e, além disso, muitos jogos não funcionam corretamente (por exemplo, erros gráficos no Total War Pharao) ou não iniciam de forma alguma(F1 23/F124). Para tarefas simples, o senhor também pode usar facilmente um dos perfis de energia mais fracos, em que as ventoinhas são um pouco mais contidas. O dispositivo torna-se claramente audível, especialmente sob cargas mais pesadas da CPU. Medimos 38,6 dB(A) durante os jogos e um máximo de 40,5 dB(A) durante o teste de estresse. Sob carga baixa, as temperaturas da superfície permanecem muito baixas e não há limitações. Mas, assim que o senhor exige mais do sistema, fica evidente que o resfriamento está um pouco sobrecarregado, e medimos mais de 50 °C (122 °F) na parte inferior. A Lenovo usa uma bateria de 70 Wh que garante tempos de execução muito bons aqui. Com cerca de 70 minutos de carga, ele dura a mesma quantidade de tempo que o Yoga Slim 7 14mas com quase 15 horas contra 8,5 horas no teste WLAN com um brilho ajustado de 150 cd/m² (correspondente a 65% do brilho SDR máximo em nossa unidade de teste), o novo modelo Snapdragon está claramente à frente. Se for usada uma taxa de atualização de 90 Hz, a duração da bateria será reduzida em cerca de 75 minutos. Com o brilho total do SDR, o teste WLAN ainda dura um pouco mais do que 8 horas (60 Hz) ou 7,5 horas (90 Hz). Durante o teste de vídeo a 150 cd/m², ele dura muito bem 17 horas.

No entanto, a duração da bateria do Zenbook 14 com OLED de 1080p não é muito pior, e o RedmiBook Pro 14 tem até mesmo a vantagem no teste de vídeo. Mas, no geral, os resultados são muito bons para um notebook com um painel OLED de alta resolução.

O laptop leva 125 minutos para ser recarregado enquanto está ligado, com 80% da capacidade disponível após cerca de 70 minutos.

O novo Yoga Slim 7x é exatamente o que se espera de um laptop multimídia moderno. Ele oferece um case robusto (embora a Lenovo não informe a espessura honestamente), dispositivos de entrada decentes e uma tela touchscreen OLED 3K com ótima qualidade de imagem e alto brilho. Temos que agradecer ao novo processador Snapdragon pela boa duração da bateria, especialmente considerando a tela OLED de alta resolução que certamente cobra seu preço.

A Lenovo usa o menor processador Snapdragon X Elite aqui, que oferece um desempenho realmente bom em aplicativos compilados para WoA. O processador pode consumir quase 50 Watts quando submetido a cargas de curto prazo, o que leva a ruídos claramente audíveis da ventoinha e a altas temperaturas na superfície. Vale a pena observar que esses aplicativos não são tão abundantes quanto gostaríamos neste momento. Embora muitos aplicativos possam ser emulados, quando se trata de jogos, ainda há vários problemas que são realmente difíceis de ignorar, e qualquer coisa que exija drivers necessários (como acessórios específicos e alguns aplicativos) pode simplesmente não funcionar no momento. O senhor deve comprar esse Yoga com Snapdragon ou não? Para falar a verdade, não temos uma resposta definitiva. A boa duração da bateria é um motivo convincente para isso; além disso, esse lindo painel OLED de alta resolução simplesmente não está disponível no modelo Intel. Por outro lado, não haverá problemas de compatibilidade x86/ARM com a versão Intel, e seu OLED de 1080p não é realmente uma opção ruim. Além disso, a configuração comparável com o Core Ultra 7 155H e 32 GB de RAM é 300 euros (~$329) mais econômica.
