XMG Apex 15 Max (Clevo NH57VR) revisão: Laptop para jogos com uma CPU desktop

Rápido, barulhento e poderoso.

A Schenker combina uma CPU Ryzen 9-5900X sockeada com uma GPU RTX 3070 para laptop GeForce. Isto resulta em um laptop poderoso que atinge uma boa figura nas áreas de jogos, processamento de vídeo e renderização. Entretanto, uma longa vida útil da bateria, operação silenciosa e baixo consumo de energia não deve ser muito importante para potenciais compradores aqui.

Enquanto o Schenker XMG Apex 15 Max é anunciado principalmente como um laptop para jogos, ele também tem como alvo a estação de trabalho e a área DTR. Dentro do Clevo Barebone (NH57VR) utilizado aqui é um Ryzen 9-5900XcPU de mesa e um GeForce Computador portátil RTX 3070gPU.

Este é o sucessor construído de forma idêntica do Schenker XMG Apex 15 (2020). Portanto, não discutiremos aqui novamente o caso, o equipamento, os dispositivos de entrada e os alto-falantes. Você pode encontrar as informações correspondentes no revisão do antigo Apex 15.

Enquanto o contraste (1096:1) do visor mate de 15,6 polegadas (1920 x 1080 pixels) atende aos requisitos (> 1000:1), o brilho (264,2 cd/m²) acaba sendo muito baixo. Consideramos bons os valores acima de 300 cd/m². O painel de 240-Hz oferece tempos de resposta curtos.

As ferramentas de medição registram uma cintilação de alta freqüência (23.545 Hz) a níveis de brilho de 35% e inferiores. Isto significa que os usuários sensíveis devem ser poupados de quaisquer dores de cabeça ou problemas oculares.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 23545 Hz is quite high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8705 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured.

Desempenho - A CPU de mesa do XMG Apex não desenvolve todo o seu potencial

Condições de teste

Entre outras opções, o Centro de Controle pré-instalado também permite selecionar um perfil de desempenho (modo Desempenho, modo Entretenimento, modo Economia de Energia, modo Silencioso). Os benchmarks e testes de bateria foram realizados utilizando o modo Entretenimento, incluindo o controle automático do ventilador.

BIOS

De acordo com Schenker, a BIOS do Apex 15 Max representa um desenvolvimento interno. Desta forma, a empresa quer garantir o funcionamento estável das CPUs Ryzen 9 oferecidas em todos os momentos. Também podemos confirmar isto, pelo menos para nossa unidade de teste.

Processador

O substituível Ryzen 9 5900Xprocessador de doze núcleos (Vermeer) funciona com uma velocidade de relógio básica de 3,7 GHz. Através do Turbo, este pode ser aumentado até 4,5 GHz (doze núcleos) e 4,8 GHz (um núcleo). É suportado multithreading simultâneo (com dois Threads por núcleo). As velocidades do relógio durante os benchmarks Cinebench R15 variam significativamente, dependendo do perfil de potência selecionado. Em todos os casos, a CPU é capaz de funcionar constantemente a uma velocidade de relógio estável, o que é mostrado por nosso teste de loop CB15.

Em operação multi-fio, a CPU 5900X permanece significativamente abaixo de seu potencial máximo: ela só atinge brevemente a velocidade Turbo, se o perfil de desempenho for ativado. Na operação com uma única rosca, a distância entre o desktop e o laptop fica menor (veja o quadro comparativo). As opções de resfriamento de um laptop podem ser simplesmente insuficientes em geral para operar a CPU de mesa com potência total.

É curioso que, usando as mesmas configurações de desempenho (modo de desempenho, ventilador máx.), o Apex tem um desempenho muito melhor em operação com múltiplas roscas do que o Eurocom Nightsky ARX315que também está equipada com uma CPU Ryzen 9 5900X. Talvez a otimizada e interna BIOS da Schenker tenha mais desempenho da CPU.

O desempenho real da GPU RTX 3000 depende de vários fatores: o resfriamento, o equipamento de armazenamento e o TGP máximo que o fabricante do laptop escolhe dentro dos limites definidos pela Nvidia. Schenker seleciona um TGP máximo de 115 watts para a GPU integrada.GeForce Computador portátil RTX 3070gPU. A GPU é capaz de usar o rápido armazenamento gráfico GDDR6 (8.192 MB).

Os resultados de referência estão acima da média que determinamos para o RTX 3070 até agora. O TGP é totalmente utilizado, o que é mostrado pelo nosso teste The Witcher 3. Não há GPU integrado a bordo, e o RTX 3070 funciona permanentemente.

Emissões - O portátil Schenker faz muito barulho

Emissões sonoras

Na operação diária com Office e Internet, os dois ventiladores são em grande parte subjugados, mas sempre podem ser ouvidos. Eles nunca são desligados. Sob carga, eles se tornam muito barulhentos com níveis máximos de ruído de até 52 dB(A) em nosso teste Witcher 3 ) e 56 dB(A) no teste de estresse. Para um nível de ruído mais baixo durante a operação, pode-se selecionar o modo Silencioso. Mesmo que o laptop então funcione mais silencioso, ele não é silencioso e o desempenho computacional é reduzido significativamente.

O Schenker XMG Apex 15 Max tem que ser visto como um híbrido de um laptop para jogos, laptop DTR e estação de trabalho. O laptop é projetado para poder produzir um alto desempenho constante - e o Apex não decepciona neste aspecto. O laptop pode lidar com jogos FHD em configurações máximas sem qualquer problema.

O Schenker XMG Apex 15 Max oferece muito desempenho em computação, mas também é muito ávido de energia.

Por outro lado, enquanto o GeForce Computador portátil RTX 3070gPU funciona constantemente em velocidade máxima, o permanente Ryzen 9 5900Xa CPU de mesa (sockeada, substituível) só atinge sua velocidade Turbo brevemente em operação multi-tarefa. As opções de resfriamento atingem seus limites aqui.

O laptop aquece visivelmente, mas não fica excessivamente quente. O desenvolvimento do ruído está no nível habitual para a classe - ou seja, ele se torna muito alto. Isto é acompanhado por uma péssima vida útil da bateria e uma enorme fome de energia durante a operação ociosa. Particularmente esta última é difícil de explicar hoje em dia.

Não há muitos laptops com uma CPU de desktop substituível e sem uma GPU integrada em nosso banco de dados. Entre os laptops "regulares" para jogos, o MSI Vetor GP66 12UGSseria uma alternativa. Embora possa oferecer ainda um pouco mais de desempenho do que o Apex às vezes, ele também é capaz de trazer uma vida útil significativamente maior da bateria ao mesmo tempo.
