A AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT faz parte da linha revisada de placas gráficas RDNA2 deste ano. Depois de dar uma olhada no AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT e o AMD Radeon RX 6750 XTagora voltamos nossa atenção para o AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT, que é o AMD Radeon RX 6600 XTsucessora do Sr.

Para esta revisão, fazemos uso do Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT. Este modelo se encaixa perfeitamente no portfólio do fabricante, com seu conhecido design. Com o Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT, o Sapphire conta com um projeto de ventilador duplo, que muitas vezes provou ser uma boa solução de resfriamento no passado. Apesar do consumo moderado de energia de 180 watts, a Sapphire instalou um refrigerador de três ranhuras de largura muito volumosa. O comprimento da placa gráfica é de 26 cm (10,2") mais padrão e, portanto, deve caber na maioria dos casos. A compatibilidade pode ser um problema quando se trata da largura, no entanto, e isto deve ser considerado.

Nosso sistema de teste com o AMD Ryzen 9 5900X como base

Usamos uma plataforma AMD atualizada baseada no Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi como nosso sistema de teste. Condições de teste

Como nos outros modelos reformulados da Sapphire, a Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT também oferece dual-bios, com um deslizador na placa gráfica que pode ser usado para alternar entre as duas versões. Uma chave de software também é possível usando a ferramenta TriXX. Com um máximo de 2.694 MHz, o relógio de impulso está acima do modelo de referência da AMD e é, portanto, um bom 100 MHz mais alto que o AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT. No teste, nossa unidade não teve problemas para alcançar esta alta taxa de relógio e mantê-la permanentemente. Para todos os testes, executamos a placa gráfica com a BIOS de desempenho, a fim de obter o melhor desempenho possível

Padrões de referência sintéticos

Demos uma olhada nos benchmarks sintéticos para ter uma primeira impressão do desempenho do Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT. As taxas de relógio GPU e VRAM ligeiramente mais altas em comparação com o AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT são equivalentes a um aumento de desempenho de quase 10% para o modelo mais novo. Isto reduz a diferença para o AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT um pouco mais rápido, embora não seja capaz de competir com o Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.

O desempenho nos jogos que medimos para o Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT se baseia no que já foi visto nos benchmarks sintéticos. Pequenas melhorias em relação ao AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT eram de se esperar, embora o Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti não foi capaz de manter sua liderança dos benchmarks sintéticos durante os testes de jogo. Nosso cartão de teste pode, portanto, colocar alguma pressão sobre o GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, embora apenas em alguns jogos.

A AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT sempre foi anunciada como uma placa gráfica para jogos de 1080p. A AMD não mudou essa especificação, apesar do fato de que a AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT também pode dominar muitos títulos em resoluções mais altas. Algumas vezes, no entanto, o desempenho é na verdade apenas bom o suficiente para jogos 1080p suaves nos jogos mais recentes.

Como de costume, medimos a taxa de quadros usando o The Witcher 3 (Ultra preset). O Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT se sai bastante bem, com uma faixa de cerca de 95 a 105 FPS. Não notamos nenhuma perda de desempenho, mesmo depois de períodos mais longos de jogo. Também não houve nenhuma anormalidade perceptível nos tempos de jogo durante todo o nosso teste. Emissões - demanda e volume de energia

O desempenho ligeiramente melhor do AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT quando comparado com o AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT causa um consumo de energia ligeiramente maior. Medimos uma demanda média de energia de 339 watts quando jogávamos. O fabricante utilizou um resfriador muito bom com uma grande superfície, incluindo um ventilador revisado, que, graças ao novo design, produziu um fluxo de ar mais alto e assim permite que a placa gráfica funcione de forma mais silenciosa e mais fria.

O resfriamento do Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT parece funcionar muito bem em nosso teste. A temperatura da GPU foi medida a apenas 69 °C (156 °F) durante nosso teste de estresse. A Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 6650 XT é sem dúvida uma placa gráfica muito boa quando se trata de jogos intransigentes a 1080p. A leve vantagem de desempenho que ela tem quando comparada ao AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT vem, no entanto, ao custo de um maior consumo de energia. A AMD já tomou este mesmo caminho com o novo AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT e AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT. O valor agregado para o usuário não é realmente claro, uma vez que não há nenhuma melhoria em termos de eficiência. Teríamos preferido um aumento no desempenho sem elevar o TDP, mas isso provavelmente exigiria alguns grandes ajustes no projeto do chip.
