Revisão: AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX e Radeon Pro W6800 na estação de trabalho high-end Lenovo ThinkStation P620

Com a atual ThinkStation P620, a Lenovo oferece uma sólida plataforma para estações de trabalho compactas de alta tecnologia. Demos uma olhada mais de perto no dispositivo 13.000-Euro (~$15.292) em nosso teste; ele consiste no Threadripper AMD Ryzen Pro 3995WX e no novíssimo AMD Radeon Pro W6800.

A Lenovo está no segmento de estações de trabalho há muito tempo e oferece uma plataforma sólida baseada no hardware mais recente com a série ThinkStation P620. Mas o fabricante não usa componentes padrão aqui. Pelo contrário, é utilizada uma plataforma desenvolvida sob medida, que é adaptada às necessidades de uma estação de trabalho. Em nossa amostra de teste, o estojo bem projetado e modular está equipado com nada menos que o processador AMD mais potente no momento e a última placa gráfica da estação de trabalho AMD.

O Threadripper AMD Ryzen Pro 3995WX atende ao AMD Radeon Pro W6800

OAMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WXé uma CPU de 64 núcleos com um total de 128 roscas. A placa gráfica é a AMD Radeon Pro W6800, que sucede a AMD Radeon Pro W5700 e agora é baseada no RDNA2 como as atuais placas gráficas para jogos de mesa. Isto significa que a AMD Radeon Pro W6800 também oferece suporte de hardware para traçado de raio em tempo real e pode acessar 32 GB de VRAM. Com um total de 256 GB de RAM DDR4, mesmo aplicações de memória intensiva podem ser dominadas sem problemas, porque graças ao Threadripper AMD Ryzen Pro 3995WX, há suporte a octa-canal, o que leva a taxas de transferência de dados de RAM muito boas. Com 256 GB, o SSD instalado em nosso modelo de teste do P620 é muito pequeno em comparação. Provavelmente seria melhor escolher o próximo modelo maior ao selecionar uma configuração.

Processor benchmarks - O Threadripper Pro 3995WX é um monstro multi-core

OAMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WXé um verdadeiro monstro do processamento considerando os resultados de referência dos testes multi-core. Com seus 64 núcleos e um total de 128 fios, o Threadripper Ryzen Pro 3995WX da AMD é mais adequado para aplicações que utilizam múltiplos núcleos de computação. Isto também inclui a virtualização de vários computadores em um único sistema, entre outras coisas. Com os generosos 256 GB de RAM DDR4, isto não representa um grande desafio para o carro-chefe. Entretanto, o Threadripper AMD Ryzen Pro 3995WX não pode tirar proveito da última arquitetura Zen3, já que oito matrizes Matisse são instaladas sob o enorme espalhador de calor, que por sua vez se baseiam na arquitetura Zen2. Isto também resulta no déficit relativamente grande nos testes de núcleo único em comparação com os processadores Ryzen da geração 5000. Ao mesmo tempo, a taxa de relógio base da CPU de 64 núcleos de 2,7 GHz também é um pouco mais conservadora. No entanto, nossa amostra de teste ainda pode competir com o Intel Core i9-10980XE.

A Lenovo ThinkStation P620 é surpreendentemente silenciosa
