Mas vamos primeiro adotar uma abordagem cronológica e analisar os novos recursos do processador antes de vermos seus resultados em detalhes. Externamente, nada mudou, pois o AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D também usa a base AM5, o que significa que uma atualização não custaria nada se o senhor já tivesse uma placa-mãe AM5. No entanto, há muitas diferenças que podem ser vistas sob o dissipador de calor. Além da arquitetura Zen 5 mais recente - que é fabricada em uma estrutura de 4 nm de largura -, a AMD organizou o cache de forma completamente diferente. O gráfico mostra que o cache foi realocado sob o CCD (Core Complex Die). Isso resulta em taxas de clock significativamente mais altas, acompanhadas de menor geração de calor. O CCD contém as unidades de computação reais, que ainda consistem em 8 núcleos e 16 threads no AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Um processador nativo de 8 núcleos é atualmente uma excelente opção apenas para jogos, como o AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D já demonstrou perfeitamente. Ele também evita o problema de alocação de threads, que estava parcialmente presente no AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D.

O clock de RAM do AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D é oficialmente de 5.600 MT/s, portanto, uma pequena melhoria. Na maioria dos casos, o processador provavelmente será operado com um kit de RAM EXPO a 6.000 MT/s. Além do processador e da placa-mãe, o kit do nosso avaliador incluía um kit de RAM para ser usado no teste. Isso significa que operamos em um cenário ligeiramente OC durante nossos testes quando se tratava da taxa de clock da RAM. O ASRock X870E Taichi funciona como base para o AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

Todos os testes do AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D foram realizados no ASRock X870E Taichi. As placas-mãe recentemente lançadas da geração de chipset 800 diferem apenas ligeiramente de suas antecessoras. O novo carro-chefe, o X870E, agora sempre apresenta USB4 e uma ampla gama de portas USB 3.2. Além disso, um total de quatro SSDs M.2 podem ser acomodados na placa-mãe.

A ASRock X870E Taichi faz parte da série Taichi da ASRock, embora os elementos de engrenagem óptica não estejam tão presentes como em outras placas-mãe feitas pelo fabricante. Os elementos são acompanhados por uma iluminação RGB sutil. Ela também vem com 1x 5G LAN para conexões de rede com fio e suporta o mais recente padrão Wi-Fi 7 para conexões sem fio. Condições de teste

Realizamos todos os testes de desempenho usando o perfil de energia "desempenho máximo". Também ativamos o PBO no BIOS e carregamos o perfil EXPO da RAM. Usamos um sistema de resfriamento a água de loop personalizado como unidade de resfriamento, que já usamos da mesma forma em testes anteriores de desempenho da CPU.

Benchmarks de processador - Ryzen 7 9800X3D com 8 núcleos Zen-5

Antes de abordarmos o objetivo principal do AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, vamos dar uma olhada no desempenho puro da CPU. Com base em vários benchmarks individuais, o AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D mostrou consistentemente um aumento notável no desempenho em comparação com o AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Ao analisar a comparação média de desempenho, nosso modelo de teste ficou logo à frente do Intel Core i5-14600K. Até mesmo o recém-lançado Intel Core Ultra 5 245K foi deixado para trás. O AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D está apenas em ligeira desvantagem ao comparar o novo 8-core com os atuais modelos topo de linha. O AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D dominou o loop contínuo do Cinebench R15 sem sofrer nenhuma queda visível no desempenho. Os picos de carga de pouco menos de 126 watts só estiveram presentes por um curto período. Em média, aproximadamente 105 watts foram suficientes para o processador durante 50 ciclos. Os testes de carga usando o Cinebench R20 e o Cinebench R23 revelaram um resultado igualmente estável. O consumo de energia do processador foi apenas um pouco maior, com um máximo de 130 watts. Não observamos nenhum problema de temperatura em nenhum momento.
