Case e conectividade - O Acer P4 vem com Thunderbolt 4

A Acer optou por uma caixa metálica fina que vem na cor azul fosco e escuro (Slate Blue). As dimensões da fenda são apropriadas e as bordas afiadas não são perceptíveis. A unidade base e a tampa podem ser um pouco torcidas - mas toda a situação está completamente dentro dos limites. O ângulo máximo de abertura da tampa é de 180 graus. A bateria está firmemente embutida no dispositivo. Não há nenhuma escotilha de manutenção.

As duas portas USB-A do TravelMate operam de acordo com o padrão USB 3.2 Gen 1. Além disso, há um slot USB-C Thunderbolt 4 que suporta o fornecimento de energia e DisplayPort por USB-C. Dispositivos de entrada - O TravelMate dispõe de um teclado retroiluminado

As teclas suaves do teclado chiclet iluminado por trás têm um curso curto e um ponto de pressão claro. O teclado produz um mínimo no centro ao digitar. No entanto, não se mostrou incomodativo. A iluminação de um nível é controlada com uma tecla de função. A Acer fornece um teclado adequado para o uso diário aqui.

Um ClickPad com capacidade multitoque (aprox. 10,5 x 6,5 cm) serve como substituto do mouse, e sua superfície lisa facilita o deslizamento dos dedos sobre ele. A almofada também responde às entradas nos cantos. Tem um curso curto e um ponto de pressão claro

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Processador

ONúcleo i5-1135G7 processador quad-core (Tiger Lake) opera a uma velocidade de relógio de base de 2,4 GHz. Um aumento para 3,8 GHz (todos os núcleos) e até 4,2 GHz (um núcleo) é possível via Turbo. Suporta hiper-Threading (duas roscas por núcleo).

O teste multithread do benchmark Cinebench R15 é executado em 3,3 a 3,8 GHz por um curto período de tempo, após o qual a taxa de clock cai para entre 3 e 3,2 GHz. O teste de linha única é processado em 1,6 a 4,2 GHz. As taxas de relógio são consideravelmente mais baixas com a energia da bateria.

Verificamos se a CPU Turbo também é utilizada de forma consistente quando conectada, executando o teste multithread do benchmark Cinebench R15 em um loop contínuo por pelo menos 30 minutos. A IntelGráfica Iris Xe G7 80EUa GPU atinge velocidades de relógio de até 1.300 MHz, que podem ser mantidas por um período de tempo prolongado (veja nosso teste The Witcher 3 ). O TravelMate não é um laptop para jogos. No entanto, o hardware instalado pode rodar alguns jogos suavemente - em baixas resoluções e configurações de baixa qualidade. Os títulos com requisitos moderados de hardware permitem mais.

O GPU permanece claramente abaixo de suas capacidades como uma comparação com os resultados de referência doAsus ExpertBook B1 que é equipado com a mesma combinação CPU-GPU mostra. Ambos os dispositivos vêm com memória monocanal.

A ativação do modo de canal duplo (= instalação de um segundo módulo de RAM) teria um impacto positivo. Emissões sonoras

No uso diário (escritório, Internet), o ventilador é freqüentemente ocioso e prevalece o silêncio. Durante o teste de estresse, o nível de pressão sonora aumenta para até 37,4 dB(A) - não é exatamente uma taxa excepcional. A concorrência oferece melhores taxas em alguns casos. O aquecedor de 14 polegadas só aquece em pequena escala em geral. O case fica um pouco mais quente em certos pontos quando as ferragens estão sob carga pesada, mas o chassi geralmente é quente ao toque. As temperaturas da CPU não são motivo de preocupação.

No início do teste de estresse (Prime95 e FurMark funcionam por pelo menos uma hora), a CPU funciona em 3,5 a 3,9 GHz. À medida que o teste avança, a taxa de clock cai para entre 1,3 e 2,8 GHz. A taxa de clock do núcleo gráfico cai de 1.300 MHz para cerca de 1.050 MHz. O teste de estresse representa um cenário extremo. Com este teste, verificamos se o sistema permanece estável sob carga total.

A Acer fornece um dispositivo de trabalho sólido e móvel com o TravelMate P4.

O laptop não é feito para um alto desempenho sustentado. O processador Core i5 responde a breves picos de carga com muita potência de computação, mas tem que acelerar sua velocidade durante períodos mais longos de carga.

Um peso de cerca de 1,4 kg e um tempo de funcionamento da bateria no mundo real de cerca de 10 horas fazem do TravelMate um companheiro móvel. Ótimo: Não só o laptop pode ser alimentado usando o adaptador de energia proprietário incluído, mas também com um adaptador de energia USB universal (através da porta USB-C).
