Samsung Exynos 7870 Octa
O Samsung Exynos 7 Octa é um SoC de 64-bits para smartphones e tablets mainstream (normalmente baseados em Android). Foi anunciada em fevereiro de 2016 e integra oito núcleos Cortex-A53, que são produzidos em um moderno processo de 14-nm. Em comparação com os anteriores SoCs de 28-nm, o desempenho foi incrementado e o consumo de energia é 30 % inferior de acordo com a Samsung. O modem LZE Cat.6 integrado alcança taxas de transferência de até 300 Mbps (downstream) e 50 Mbps (upstream). O controlador de memória dual-channel suporta RAM LPDDR3-1866.
O adaptador gráfico ARM Mali-T830 MP2 (velocidade de 700 MHz de acordo com Wikipedia) também é utilizado em combinação com o SoC HiSilicon Kirin 650. Além do OpenGL ES 3.2, ela também suporta OpenCL 1.2 bem como DirectX 11. O desempenho é suficiente para jogos Android comuns de 2016 com detalhes médios.
