Realme Neo 7 SE tipped to launch as brand-first Dimensity 8400 smartphone
The Dimensity 8400 is now officially MediaTek's latest chipset for reasonably-priced, yet appreciably perforance-focused, Android smartphones. Xiaomi is already boasting that it will be the first OEM to feature it in the form of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. However, another company might not let it have a monopoly on the new spec for long.
The brand's latest MediaTek-related teaser campaign has started out on the slightly cryptic end of the Weibo post campaign. However, the prolific leaker Digital Chat Station purports to dispel the mystery in advance by insisting that the message refers to the first ever Dimensity 8400-powered device from Realme.
The tipster also predicts that it will be a successor for the GT Neo6 SE, re-named as the Neo 7 SE for the 2025 product cycle. Accordingly, it could land as a more affordable sibling for Realme's new Dimensity 9300+ smartphone.
If so, it will be interesting to see if the Neo 7 SE will also have a class-leading 7,000mAh battery to go with its updated 4nm platform on its debut.
The Realme GT 7 Pro: still available for €799.99 on Amazon.de.
