Qualcomm Snapdragon 675
O Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 (SM675) é um SoC de gama media baseado em ARM encontrado maiormente em tablets e smartphones Android. Possui 8 núcleos chamados Kryo 460 (capazes de 64 bits), divididos em dois clusters. Um cluster rápido de dois núcleos com até 2 GHz e baseado no design do ARM Cortex-A76. E um cluster de eficiência de economia de energia de até 1,6 GHz e baseado em núcleos ARM Cortex-A55 muito menores. Ambos os clusters também podem ser usados juntos.
Além dos 8 núcleos de CPU, o SoC integra uma GPU Adreno 612 de gama média mais baixa, um modem LTE X12 com download de até 600 Mbps (Cat 12) e upload de 150 Mbps (Cat 13), um modem WLAN Wave 2 802.11ac (Wifi 5) (até 867 Mbps), rádio Bluetooth 5.0, posicionamento por satélite (GPS, QZSS, GLONASS, SBAS, Beidou e Galileo) e um motor de vídeo (codificação até 4k30 e suporte para H.265, H.264, VP8 e VP9).
Graças aos dois núcleos rápidos baseados em Cortex-A76, o SD675 é capaz de superar o antigo SoC Snapdragon 835 de gama alta em alguns benchmarks. O menos poderoso Snapdragon 670, por exemplo, atinge apenas 70 a 77% do desempenho no Geekbench 4.3 (teste single - multi core). No entanto, os SoCs atuais de última geração, como o Snapdragon 855, ainda podem adicionar de 50 a 70% além do desempenho do 675.
O Snapdragon 675 é produzido no novo processo LPP de 11 nm (Low Power Plus) da Samsung, que é uma combinação de 14 nm e 10 nm. Comparado ao LPP de 14nm, o processo de 11nm deve poder aumentar o desempenho em 15% e diminuir o tamanho do chip em 10%, de acordo com a Samsung.
