Qualcomm SD 439

O Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 (SD439) é um SoC de gama baixa para tablets e smartphones (Android). Comparado com o antigo Snapdragon 435, o 439 agora é fabricado no atual processo FinFET de 12 nm e oferece velocidades mais altas de 2 GHz dos oito núcleos ARM Cortex-A53 (em comparação com 1,4 GHz). O Wifi (agora ac Wave 2 / Wifi 5) e o Bluetooth (v5) também foram atualizados, no entanto, a GPU ainda é o Adreno 505 bastante lento e o modem LTE foi rebaixado para um X6 apenas com o Cat. 4/5 (máx. 150 Mbps download, 75 Mbps upload).

Graças à maior velocidade máxima, o desempenho da plataforma móvel Snapdragon 439 pode alcançar o antigo Snapdragon 625 (também 2 GHz com 8x Cortex-A53). No entanto, ainda há uma grande lacuna nos SoCs com núcleos de desempenho maiores.
