Veredicto — Pula o Ice Lake e Comet Lake-U
A estrela do Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 é, sem dúvida, sua APU Ryzen 7 4800U. Além de alguns testes de single-threaded, não há benchmarks ou jogos em que o novo processador AMD não supere o melhor que a série Intel Iris Plus G7 ou Comet Lake-U tem a oferecer atualmente. Não estamos nem falando de margens estreitas; o desempenho gráfico e multi-thread da CPU pode ser 40 a 50 por cento mais rápido do que o Core i7-10710U e Core i7-1065G7, respectivamente, consumindo apenas alguns Watts a mais. Os usuários obtêm o melhor dos dois mundos - o desempenho da GPU Ice Lake de 10 nm e o desempenho de CPU multithread do Comet Lake-U de 14 nm - em um pacote de 8 núcleos de 7 nm mais rápido e mais eficiente em termos de energia.
O desafio para a AMD agora é oferecer um nível consistente de desempenho do processador em vários modelos e OEMs. O Yoga Slim 7 deve mostrar o Ryzen 7 4800U no seu melhor, o que significa que os futuros portáteis podem utilizar este mesmo processador em velocidades mais lentas. Será interessante ver quão grande será a diferença de desempenho entre diferentes portáteis equipados com a mesma APU Ryzen 7 4800U, especialmente porque já registramos enormes diferenças de desempenho entre sistemas Ice Lake de 10ma geração. Em outras palavras, a última coisa que queremos ver é um portátil Ryzen 7 4800U rodando 40 ou 50 por cento mais lento do que nosso Yoga Slim 7, especialmente quando sujeito a um estresse prolongado.
Quanto ao portátil Lenovo em si, é essencialmente um IdeaPad S940 ampliado. Suspeitamos que ele não poderia ter exatamente o mesmo tamanho do IdeaPad S940 porque a Lenovo queria o volume extra e, portanto, o potencial de resfriamento para explorar totalmente a CPU octa-core de 25 W. De qualquer forma, isso significa que o Yoga Slim 7 será ligeiramente mais pesado do que a maioria dos subportáteis de 14 polegadas no mercado.
Existem algumas outras esquisitices e desvantagens no chassi. A falta de um obturador de webcam, por exemplo, nos deixa perplexos principalmente quando o mais barato IdeaPad S340 possui um A tela não é tão brilhante quanto o IdeaPad S940 e em muitos outros Ultrabooks carro-chefe. Mesmo assim, podemos apreciar as baias de armazenamento duplas e compatibilidade FreeSync que outros subportáteis geralmente não oferecem.
