The budget category of smartphones in India is filled with many options, including those from Xiaomi, Realme, Samsung, Nokia, and more. Out of these, Nokia recently launched a new budget smartphone called the Nokia C20 Plus for Rs 8,999. The device comes with a UNISOC SC9863a processor and has a dual-camera at the back. While we do have some decent options in this category, let’s look at what Nokia has to offer.

The Nokia C20 Plus does not offer anything special in terms of hardware, and the software experience does not redeem it, especially when you consider its Rs. 8,999 starting price tag. Priced at Rs. 8,499, Micromax's In 2b (Review) offers a vastly superior software experience, with near-stock Android and almost no bloat or third-party apps. It's also possible to play games on the In 2b, and camera quality isn't bad either, given its price. Realme's C21Y is a new contender which offers the same Unisoc T610 SoC as the In 2b. Both these phones also offer creature comforts such as a USB Type-C port. There's also Realme's Narzo 30A (Review), which seems to offer far better value at this price point with a bigger 6,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging. With so many other, more capable smartphones priced at around Rs. 8,999 or even less, it would be very hard to recommend the Nokia C20 Plus, even to a Nokia fan.

HMD-owned Nokia has been trying to face the onslaught of Chinese OEMs, banking on robust and stylish products to woo customers. However, some of its offerings in the recent past don’t really stand out. The newly-released Nokia C20 Plus launched at Rs 8,999 lands into the budget segment, and here is a full review of the device to see if it can upend rivals. The Nokia C20 Plus is a phone that has the familiar Nokia aesthetic of sturdy and rigid build quality. Beyond that, it is a standard phone with slightly underpowered specs that fail to make a dent into the cutthroat sub-Rs 10,000 segment.

It’s already clear that if you get mixed up with the two phones, you’ll find a solution here. Here, budget is a big factor. C20 Plus offers all the needs a smartphone can do. You would be surprised by the long-lasting battery performance. Not only that, but the latest software and graphics unit draw your attention to this model. As a robust phone, this model is best suited for those who use the phone a lot. You can compare this model with other alternatives. Our recommendation would be the Galaxy M21 2021. If you can spend a little more, you can go for the T-Mobile REVVL V Plus 5G with some advanced features. But C20 Plus is really a strong competitor to the mentioned alternatives.
