Mediatek MT8125

 MT8125

O Mediatek MT8125 é um SoC (System on a Chip) ARM de baixo custo, usado principalmente em tablets. Ele é produzido em 28nm e integra um processador quad-core Cortex-A7 e uma GPU PowerVR SGX 544. Os núcleos da CPU normalmente têm uma frequência de 1,2 - 1,5 GHz, enquanto que a GPU tem 300 MHz.

Desempenho

Dado que a arquitetura Cortex-A7 é um pouco mais lenta que um design Krait ou Cortex-A9 com a mesma frequência, o desempenho do MT8125 está logo abaixo do Tegra 3 da Nvidia ou o Samsung Exynos 4412. O PowerVR SGX 544 também é uma solução de baixo custo e não é adequado para resoluções ultra-altas ou jogos muito exigentes.

Características

Além do processador e GPU, o SoC também integra um decodificador para vídeos 1080p, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, FM, GPS bem como rádio 2G e 3G até HSPA+. As câmeras são suportadas até uma resolução de 13 MP.

Consumo de Energia

Graças aos núcleos energeticamente eficientes A7, bem como a avançada produção de 28nm, o consumo de energia provavelmente seja relativamente baixo. Portanto, o chip pode ser usado em tablets menores.
