 Kirin 658

O HiSilicon Kirin 658 é um SoC  octa-core baseado em ARM para smartphones e tablets de gama média. Foi anunciado no início de 2017 e tem oito núcleos ARM Cortex-A53. Quatro núcleos podem ser acelerados até 1,7 GHz (núcleos economizadores de energia) e quatro até 2,35 GHz (núcleos de desempenho). A diferença com os SoCs Kirin 650 e Kirin 655 anteriores é a maior velocidade dos núcleos de desempenho (2,35 versus 2,1 e 2,0 GHz).

Além disso, uma placa de vídeo ARM Mali-T830 MP2 (a 900 MHz com 40.8 GFLOPS), um controlador de memória LPDDR3 de 64-Bits e uma rádio LTE Cat com suporte para dual-sim. 6 (máx. 300 MBit/s e GSM, WCDMA, UMTS, HSPA+) estão integrados no SoC. O desempenho do processador pode ser comparado com o antigo Kirin 930 e, portanto, suficiente para o uso diário como a navegação e para aplicativos pouco exigentes. SoCs de gama alta com núcleos Cortex-A57 ou A72, no entanto, devem ser bastante mais velozes. O SoC é produzido em um moderno processo de 16nm FinFET e é, portanto, muito energeticamente eficiente.
