Intel B980

O Intel Pentium B980 é um processador de dois núcleos para portáteis de gama básica. Se baseia na arquitetura Sandy Bridge, mas muitas das características como o Turbo Boost para a parte do CPU, HyperThreading, AES, Virtualização (VT-x e VT-d), Trusted Execution ou Intel Quick Sync estão desativadas. O Pentium B980 integra uma placa de vídeo chamada Intel HD Graphics que se baseia na HD Graphics 2000 para desktop com freqüência de 650 / 1150 (com Turbo Boost).

O desempenho do Pentium B980 deve ser notoriamente mais rápido do que um CPU Arrandale Pentium de freqüência similar. Devido à frequência elevada, o HyperThreading faltante e cache menor de último nível deve ser igualado e, portanto, o desempenho deve ser similar ao de um Intel Core i3-2310M com 2,1 GHz.

O TDP de 35W inclui o GPU integrado e o controlador de memória DDR3-1333.
