Intel Celeron N4500

O Intel Celeron N4500 é um SoC dual-core da série Jasper Lake que se destina principalmente a notebooks baratos e foi anunciado no início de 2021. Os dois núcleos de CPU Tremont relógio entre 1,1 e 2,8 GHz (Single Core Burst) e não oferecem HyperThreading (SMT). O N4500 usa 1,5 MB L2 e 4 MB L3 de cache. O chip é fabricado em 10nm na Intel (muito provavelmente no mesmo processo que o Ice Lake).

Arquitetura da CPU

A arquitetura do processador é chamada Tremont e um redesenho completo em comparação com os antigos núcleos do Golmont Plus do predecessor. De acordo com a Intel, o desempenho de um único núcleo poderia ser melhorado em 30% em média (10 - 80% em todos os testes da SPECint e SPECfp).

Características

Além do bloco de CPU dual-core, o SoC integra uma GPU Intel UHD de 16 UHD da UE com relógio de 350 - 750 MHz e um controlador de memória LPDDR4(x) de canal duplo (até 16 GB e 2933 MHz). O chip agora também integra parcialmente Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), 8 pistas PCIe 3.0, 14 portas USB 2.0/ 3.2 e duas portas SATA 6.0. O pacote ficou maior e mede 35 x 24 mm (comparado com 25 x 24 mm para o N5030, por exemplo). O SoC é soldado diretamente à placa principal (BGA) e não pode ser facilmente substituído.

Desempenho

Graças à nova arquitetura da CPU, o desempenho do N4500 deve ser ligeiramente mais rápido em comparação com o antigo núcleo duplo Celeron N4020. O Celeron N5100 oferece dois núcleos adicionais e é, portanto, significativamente mais rápido. Portanto, a CPU é adequada apenas para tarefas básicas como ternos de escritório, navegação na web com multitarefas simples.

Consumo de energia

Similar ao predecessor, a Intel especifica o TDP com 6 Watts (SDP 4,8 Watts - Scenario Design Power). O chip pode, portanto, ser resfriado passivamente em teoria, mas SKUs com ventiladores também são possíveis.
