Intel Core i5-1030NG7
O Intel Core i5-1030NG7 é um SoC quad-core energeticamente eficiente para portáteis e ultrabooks baseado na geração de atualização Ice-Lake-Y que foi anunciado em maio de 2019 (Computex). Ele integra quatro núcleos de processador Sunnycove (8 threads graças ao HyperThreading) com velocidade de 1,1 (base) - 3,8 (Turbo de núcleo único) GHz. Todos os quatro núcleos atingir velocidades turbo de até 3,2 GHz usando o Turbo Boost. De acordo com a Intel, os núcleos Sunnycove alcançam 18% mais IPCs (instruções por relógio).
Comparado ao Core i5-1030G7 normal, o i5-1030NG7 oferece um tamanho de pacote menor (22 x 16,5 versus 26,5 x 18,5 mm), um clock base mais alto de 1100 versus 800 MHz e TDP de 1 Watt a mais.
Combinado com os dois núcleos adicionais, os processadores dual-core da série Y anteriores (Amber Lake-Y) devem ser sempre mais lentos. O desempenho de curto alcance deve ser excelente, longas cargas de trabalho dependerão das configurações de TDP e da solução de refrigeração no portátil / tablet.
A maior melhoria para o Ice-Lake é a placa gráfica Gen 11 integrada chamada Iris Plus Graphics. O Core i5-1030NG7 integra a maior variante do G7 com 64 CUs com velocidade de 300 a 1050 MHz. O Iris Plus G7 deve ser duas vezes mais rápido que os antecessores e melhor do que a GPU AMD Vega 10 nas APUs Ryzen atuais. No entanto, na série Y, o desempenho dos novamente dependerá da solução de resfriamento e pode se degradar claramente ao longo do tempo (em comparação com o Core i7-1065G7 com 15 - 25 Watt, por exemplo).
Outras melhorias para Ice Lake são a aceleração de hardware da IA e a integração parcial do Thunderbolt e Wifi 6 no chip. O controlador de memória DDR4 integrado suporta módulos de até 3200 MHz (e LPDDDR4 3733).
O Core i5-1030NG7 é produzido no novo processo de 10 nm da Intel (2ª geração) que deve oferecer um desempenho comparável ao processo de 7 nm da TSMC. O TDP é especificado em 10 Watts e, portanto, a CPU pode ser usada em portáteis finos e leves. A Intel oferece um TDP configurável de até 12 Watts para os parceiros, resultando em diferenças significativas de desempenho (devido a períodos mais longos do Turbo Boost).
