Intel 3110M

O Intel Core i3-3110M é um processador dual-core para portáteis, baseado na arquitetura Ivy Bridge. Graças ao Hyperthreading, os dois núcleos podem suportar até quatro threads em paralelo fazendo uma melhor utilização do CPU. Cada núcleo oferece uma velocidade base de 2,4 GHz, o Turbo Boost não é suportado. Como os seus predecessores baseados em Sandy-Bridge, oferece um cache de 3 MB L3.

Ivy Bridge é uma matriz aprimorada e encolhida da arquitetura Sandy Bridge com melhorias no desempenho do GPU e CPU. Os CPUs são produzidos em 22nm (contra 32nm dos CPUs Sandy Bridge) e são os primeiros em introduzir transistores 3D para uma maior eficiência energética quando comparado com processadores Sandy Bridge com freqüências similares. Outros novos recursos são o PCI Express 3.0 integrado e suporte para DDR3(L)-1600.

O desempenho do Core i3-3110M deve ser ligeiramente superior que o de um processador Sandy Bridge com freqüência similar graças a ligeiras alterações estruturais. Como resultado, o desempenho geral deve ser cerca de 5 % mais veloz comparado com o antigo i3-2370M. Graças ao seu Turbo Boost, os modelos Core-i5 como o i5-3210M são significantemente mais velozes (10 - 30 %).

Tal como a maioria dos outros dual-cores Ivy Bridge, o i5-3210M está classificado em um TDP de 35 W. Portanto, até mesmo os portáteis menores podem utilizar o Core i3.
