Intel 2350M

O Intel Core i3-2350M é um processador dual core para portáteis. Baseia-se na arquitetura Sandy Bridge e oferece Hyper-threading para controlar 4 threads simultaneamente (para um melhor uso do pipeline). Comparado com o mais veloz Core i5, o i3 não oferece a técnica Turbo Boost para a parte do CPU e, portanto, tem uma freqüência de 2,3 GHz (máx). Comparado com o Core i3-2310M, o 2330M oferece 200 MHz a mais de freqüência.

A Sandy Bridge é a sucessora evolucionária da arquitetura Arrandale. As melhorias mais notáveis são as novas instruções AVX de 265 Bits, o Turbo Boost 2.0 melhorado (não habilitado para a parte de processador da 2350M) e a integração da placa de vídeo no núcleo do CPU de 32nm.

O i3-2350M oferece uma placa de vídeo integrada (Intel HD Graphics 3000) que é evidentemente mais veloz que a antiga Intel HD Graphics nos CPUs Arrandale. Dado que o novo GPU está incluído no CPU, também é produzido em 32nm e compartilha o veloz cache de nível 3 com os núcleos do CPU (usando um novo ring bus). No 2350M está com uma freqüência de 650-1150MHz (com Turbo Boost). Os CPUs Sandy Bridge mais velozes têm freqüência de até 1300 MHz (como o i5-2520M).

Além disso, um melhorado controlador de memória DDR3 de dois canais, está incluído no CPU, que é utilizado pelo CPU e GPU. Ele suporta até 16GB DDR3-1333.

Graças à arquitetura melhorada, o desempenho médio do Core i3-2350M é mais alto que o de um Arrandale Core i3 com freqüência similar sem Turbo Boost. Em benchmarks sintéticos, o desempenho está no mesmo nível de do Core i3-390M de maior freqüência (2,5 GHz) e, portanto, adequado para a maioria dos aplicativos.

O TDP de 35W inclui o GPU integrado e o controlador de memória.
