Intel N3060

O Intel Celeron N3060 é um SoC dual-core de para portáteis de gama baixa, que foi apresentado em abril de 2015. Ele tem uma frequência de 1,6 - 2,48 GHz e parte da plataforma Braswell. Graças ao seu novo processo de 14 nanômetros de baixo poder (P1273) com transistores tri-gate, a eficiência energética foi bastante melhorada em comparação como a arquitetura Bay Trail do seu predecessor (por exemplo, Celeron N2840). O N3060 é o sucessor (atualização) do Celeron N3050 e comparado com ele oferece uma velocidade Turbo melhorada (2,48 vs 2,1 GHZ).

Além dos núcleos da CPU, o SoC oferece uma GPU com suporte para DirectX 11.2 bem como um Controlador de Memória DDR3L (2x 64 bit, 25,6 GB/s).

Arquitetura

Os núcleos do processador baseiam-se na arquitetura Airmont, que é basicamente uma redução levemente modificada do anterior núcleo Silvermont. Embora o desempenho por núcleo não tenha sido melhorado, o mais eficiente processo de14 nm resulta em uma melhor utilização do Burst da CPU (alias Turbo Boost) e, portanto, em um desempenho geral um pouco superior.

Desempenho

Dependendo do resfriamento do SoC, a velocidade de 2,48 pode ser mantida durante períodos mais longos, resultando em um desempenho mais veloz como a antiga Celeron N3050 que somente consegue atingir 2,16 GHz. Usando o Windows, a CPU é adequada para tarefas simples do dia a dia como a navegação leve ou aplicativos Office, mas não para software complexo ou jogos modernos.

Gráficos

A HD Graphics 400 (Braswell) se baseia na arquitetura Gen8 da Intel, que suporta DirectX 11,2 e também é encontrada na série Broadwell (por exemplo, HD Graphics 5300). Com 12 EUs (Execution Units) e uma velocidade de até 600 MHz, a GPU é quase o dobro de veloz que a HD Graphics (Bay Trail), mais ainda não suficientemente poderoso para lidar com modernos jogos 3D. A GPU também suporta aceleração de vídeo de 4K/H.265. Embora tenha um nome diferente, a GPU não foi modificada da N3050 (nomeada apenas HD Graphics).

Consumo de Energia

Todo o SoC tem um TDP de 6 watts (SDP 4 Watts). Por isso o chip pode ser resfriado de forma passiva.
