The Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook T4215 UMTS has solid credentials. It's based on Intel's Napa platform (with Atheros WiFi card, though), ensuring a decent compromise between power, heat and battery life. We especially like the dual-swivel Tablet TFT, which is eminently readable in practically any environment.
More good is to be found with the range of connectivity options, covering Bluetooth, WiFi and Gigabit LAN through to an embedded UMTS card, offering truly go-anywhere connectivity.
But we'd want the laptop to be fitted with at least 1GiB of RAM and a more spacious hard drive. We'd also like an ExpressCard slot as standard. Furthermore, with portability near the top of the usual features-list for Tablet notebooks, a sleeker, lighter chassis would have been nice - something around 1.6kg with battery and optical drive.

Early convertible tablets often were saddled with out-of-date components. But newer models--such as the $2,429 Fujitsu LifeBook T4215--don't require you to sacrifice power for functionality, because they offer the latest technology, including Intel Core 2 Duo processors. While not as elegant as either the Lenovo ThinkPad X60 or the Gateway M285-E, the LifeBook T4215 is highly configurable and features a specially coated screen for outdoor use, making it a good fit for a range of uses and budgets. It also boasts a useful feature not found on other tablets: The rotating screen swivels both ways.

The Fujitsu LifeBook T4220 is designed to weather outside use better than your typical convertible tablet. It has a nice keyboard and performs well, too, all at a competitive price.
This successor to the LifeBook T4020 offers several improvements. The T series now uses Intel's Santa Rosa processor line, and the hard drive, sealed before, is now user upgradable.
Most important, the T4220 has a single, bidirectional hinge that is a first for a convertible and a major convenience breakthrough. When you want to switch between the tablet and notebook forms, you can swivel the screen right or left on its hinge--no worries about having to double-check a directional arrow or twisting the screen the wrong way on the first try.

The T2010 is a solid Tablet PC, with a great bi-directional hinge and beautiful display. I really like Fujitsu's screens, the colors are always bright and vivid. The lid can be scratched easily, so be careful with that, but it does hide dirt very well. It is easy to take notes on, give presentations with and portable enough to take anywhere. Great for business professionals or college students. The battery life is good and if you get the 9-cell, you will have all day computing power, as I said before making it a perfect travel companion. The AT&T WWAN worked fine when I had it working and I had plenty of signal strength. I don't think AT&T has the best network coverage in my area, so I think that is why I had some problems.

In the final analysis, the reason why anyone would choose a convertible notebook is mobility. Tipping the scales at only four lbs. and with a small (but not too small) 12.1" display, the T2010 isn’t going to give road warriors a hernia carrying it around. What can only be described as awesome battery life makes this notebook even more attractive for those that aren’t within reach of a power outlet.
Speaking of power, the T2010 isn’t going to cut it if you’re doing high-end graphics work (such as gaming, video or development applications) but it does pump more than enough power for the usual gambit of office-productivity tools. As tested, our unit didn’t even include an optical media drive, which may sound strange to some. Reality is that with solid network connectivity and USB 2.0, you can have a functional notebook today that can get along just fine without a DVD built in.

The slim, light Fujitsu LifeBook T2010 convertible tablet has the longest battery life we've seen, as well as a versatile screen suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This $2558 unit (as of 10/9/07) could be more comfortable to hold, however, and the optical drive is not integrated.
The T2010 set a new record for battery life. Our test unit's nine-cell battery lasted just 2 minutes shy of 7 hours--best among currently tested laptops. Speed was less impressive: Our 1.2-GHz Core 2 Duo U7600-equipped unit with 2GB of RAM produced a WorldBench 6 Beta 2 score of 52, just two points lower than the average of 54 earned by currently tested ultraportables. The T2010 edged out by four points an HP Compaq 2710p equipped with the same processor and amount of RAM.

For five years now, users have been picking up Tablet PCs, cradling them in one arm like clipboards, sampling their appealing handwriting recognition and pen-input applications ... and saying, "They're too heavy." Fujitsu aims to change that. The LifeBook T2010 is a convertible Tablet PC/notebook that weighs no more than some tablet-only slate designs -- 3.6 pounds. Frankly, that's still too much to carry under an arm all day, but Fujitsu's trimming a pound or two pays off with a noticeable increase in comfort for shorter stints. That's true both in your hands -- where the 8.8 by 11.9 by 1.4-inch convertible offers helpful features such as automatically rotating the display from horizontal to vertical when you switch to tablet mode -- and in your briefcase -- where the LifeBook and its AC adapter together equal a modest 4.4 pounds.

If there's one tablet PC that Fujitsu can count on to make the registers ring, the Fujitsu Lifebook T4210 is that cash cow. It's a hit in the vertical markets (for example, health care), and its sales are gaining momentum in the back-to-school segment. Yet customers have been calling for something lighter, something they can place against their forearms all day, perhaps without an optical drive. Fujitsu's answer is the LifeBook T2010 ($2,309 list). It kicks the optical drive to the curb (though it offers a pricey $299 external drive option), pumps up the screen brightness, and tosses in some low-powered components to maximize battery life. The result is a terrific tablet experience in a 3.9-pound frame. Building convertible tablets is Fujitsu's forte. The LifeBook T2010 is representative of the great work the company has done to bring forth a terrific inking experience in a lightweight form factor.

Fujitsu's LifeBook T5010 is a 13.3in tablet-convertible notebook with excellent build quality, good speed and plenty of features. It's powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 CPU, and has a bright touch screen with Wacom's interface technology built in. If you're on the lookout for a notebook that can be used as a tablet, then the Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 is about as good as it gets. It's fast, very well built and has one of the most responsive and accurate touch screens we've tested. The only downsides are its non-powered USB 2.0 ports and the inclusion of a PC Card slot instead of an ExpressCard/54 slot.

Convertible tablets are and will remain specialized products that cater to a certain group of people. They have the benefit of having both keyboard and a pen as input devices, with the latter being used in sales, design, and the healthcare industry. It's simply easier to apply a pen to screen while you're on the run and the tablet is resting in your forearm. The Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 (Multitouch) ($1,859 direct) is the hallmark of what a tablet user experience should be. Though pricey ($1,800), the Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 is a convertible tablet that gives you three vital tools for data input: a keyboard, a digital pen, and now, multi-touch.

Overall, the Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 is an adequate notebook and an excellent tablet, all rolled up into one expensive package. The Intel Core 2 Duo P8600, 2GB DDR3 RAM and 160GB HDD will serve well for everyday tasks and, despite the integrated GPU, probably some casual gaming as well. In tablet mode, the Wacom stylus is responsive and there are enough tablet-friendly features to make its use convenient. The overall size and weight strike a balance between portability and productivity, with a 13.3” display and a weight of 4.5-4.9lbs. Unfortunately, the battery life is nothing exceptional and the price is fairly high, but in return you are getting a tablet that can comfortably be your regular laptop as well.

Fujitsu Siemens' LifeBook T5010 comes from the same stable as the T1010. Like the T1010, it's a relatively large and heavy 13.3-inch convertible tablet PC. Differences include an active touchscreen rather than the T1010's passive unit, a solid-state hard-drive option and a wider range of processors. The T5010 is available for around £1,700 online. The Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook T5010 is a well-made convertible tablet PC with a sturdy casing and a comfortable keyboard. Only a handful of convertible tablets are worthy of being called complete. Tablet makers typically make sacrifices to manage the weight, like ditching the optical drive, opting for a smaller screen, or including a low-powered processor. In doing so, manufacturers tend to hamper an important part of the convertible—the laptop part. Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 is still one of the few convertible tablets to integrate an optical drive and standard voltage parts.

Fujitsu Siemens has recently dropped the Siemens part of its name, but its laptop ranges remain unchanged. So the Fujitsu Lifebook T1010 is a Tablet PC, designed (so the company's marketing suggests) to appeal to students. Certainly its white outer shell is trendy. For those who are put off by tablet PCs with small screens and big price tags, the Fujitsu LifeBook T1010 might be just the ticket. Starting at $1,299 (though we tested the $1,399 version, with Vista Business), this convertible sports a mainstream-friendly 13.3-inch display and midrange price, a combination that Fujitsu hopes will help bring dual-input computing to the masses. Fujitsu's LifeBook T1010 tablet PC has enough power under the hood to justify its midrange price, but its pen-based performance leaves much to be desired.

Estes processadores gráficos podem mostrar fluidamente só jogos antigos. Jogos atuais só podem ser apresentados com detalhes substancialmente reduzidos.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GPU integrado (memória compartilhada) no chipset GM45 (Montevina).
