A Xiaomi teve que fazer recortes em vários lugares para conseguir isso: sem webcam, um SSD SATA lento e sem luz de fundo do teclado.
Apesar do desatualizado SSD SATA, o desempenho do sistema é excelente.
É aqui que o novo Ryzen 5 4500U pode flexionar seus músculos e até mesmo a baixa velocidade e a memória principal não atualizável apenas o tornam um pouco mais lento. O desempenho gráfico não é impressionante com o Vega 6 integrado, portanto o RedmiBook dificilmente será adequado para jogadores. A variante Intel com MX350 deve ser consideravelmente mais poderosa aqui. O resfriamento da CPU é de primeira classe, os ventiladores permanecem silenciosos e as superfícies permanecem frias.
A tela de 16 polegadas possui uma resolução muito menor do que o modelo consideravelmente mais caro do MBP16, mas alcança a cobertura declarada do espaço de cores sRGB e agrada com um revestimento mate e boa representação de cores no teste. Poderia ser um pouco mais brilhante com brilho máximo, para que o portátil pudesse ser melhor utilizado em exteriores, pois a duração da bateria do nosso dispositivo de teste não dissuadiria o uso móvel. Uma jornada de trabalho completa com brilho reduzido é possível graças à boa eficiência energética.
Como o dispositivo estava disponível apenas na China no momento desta análise, as restrições usuais devem ser enfrentadas na Europa: prazos de entrega longos, impostos alfandegários e de importação, altos custos de remessa para devoluções, possíveis problemas em caso de defeitos, Windows chinês (idioma não alterável) e, atualmente, apenas um teclado QWERTY americano faz com que a compra pareça desinteressante para a maioria dos clientes no momento.
