Contra
A Toshiba criou um bom contendor. O Portégé X30 é um feito impressionante de engenharia; colocar tanto em um chassi tão fino e leve merece aplausos. A inclusão de duas portas Thunderbolt 3 ajuda a mitigar um dos principais problemas do aparelhos modernos fino e leves. Mesmo neste sentido, o X30 ainda oferece portas suficientes que a maioria achará úteis. Embora ainda preferimos as opções de conectividade oferecidas pelo X1 Carbon, eles chegam com um custo de um pouco mais de peso e um formato um pouco maior. Os usuários avançados também podem preferir o teclado superior e a manutenção do X1, tornando-se uma escolha difícil entre a Toshiba e a Lenovo.
A leveza também desmente a robustez do chassi. Não há flexibilidade no teclado e no painel inferior, o que é novamente impressionante. No entanto, a tampa se flexiona se pressão é aplicada; isso pode se tornar um problema após meses ou anos de uso. Outras restrições incluem o teclado medíocre e o layout frustrante das teclas especiais, bem como o acabamento propenso às impressões digitais do corpo do dispositivo. Nossa principal preocupação reside no desempenho do processador. O Core i7-7600U parece ser muito melhor no papel do que se desempenha aqui. Isso pode ser dever ao afogamento (para manter as temperaturas controladas), a subutilização da CPU, ou a combinação de ambas. Embora não possamos determinar definitivamente a causa, é de pouca consequência à luz do desempenho geral do sistema. Sim, o X30 se desempenha um pouco mais lento em benchmarks do que seus rivais, mas em uso do mundo real, ainda é ágil e rápido.
No geral, o Toshiba Portégé X30 é um excelente portátil para os guerreiros da estrada e pessoas de negócios que viajam constantemente. O bom carregamento de I/O, a bela tela e o chassi bem feito são pontos altos neste delicioso aparelho, e as delicadezas, como o veloz scanner de íris e a garantia de 3 anos, são glacê sobre este bolo de penas.
