Contra
Poder luxuoso a um preço luxuoso: O XMG U507 da Schenker Technologies poderia ser resumido em essa frase. A configuração básica não é tão cara com 1.749 Euros (~$1879), mas quando opta-se pelo hardware de alto desempeno (GeForce GTX 1070, Core i7 com Hyperthreading, pelo menos 16 GB de RAM, solid state drive baseado em PCIe), o preço pode aumentar muito facilmente para 2500 (~$2686) se não 3000 Euros (~$3223). Os jogadores exigentes que esperam muitas interfaces, boas opções de manutenção, uma configuração individual, e detalhes máximos em Full HD devem ficar contentes com XMG U507.
A decisão entre o painel IPS ou o TN de 120 Hz depende principalmente da preferência do usuário. Os usuários que sentem cada fotograma adicional e que conseguem perceber a mínima mudança na tela, provavelmente podem ignorar as fraquezas da tela de 120 Hz (nível de preto pobre, baixo contraste, forte tonalidade azul). Os paineis IPS são a melhor opção para o resto das pessoas, dado que possuem maior contraste e têm ângulos de visão mais estáveis. A Schenker também deveria fazer melhorias na fonte de alimentação que está um pouco subdimensionada para uma combinação de GeForce GTX 1070 e Core i7-7700K - pelos menos em cenários de uso intenso. De outra forma, somente a duração da bateria e a tampa extremamente instável que acaba produzindo distorções na imagem quando pressionada, devem ser colocadas na lista dos pontos negativos.
Normalmente é suficiente para o primeiro lugar em outros aspectos. A conectividade, desempenho, e o som deixam os concorrentes de 15 polegadas um pouco atrás. No entanto, o MSI GT62VR 7RE, Alienware 15 R3 e o Acer Predator 15 (ainda não testado com Kaby Lake) atingem avaliações comparáveis. Pode valer a penas dar uma olhada no Schenker se preferir um portátil relativamente leve e fino.
