Veredicto - O Galaxy Book S está um lugar complicado
Não é fácil encontrar um veredicto para o Galaxy Book S da Samsung com o novo processador híbrido da Intel. O primeiro rival é obviamente o modelo ARM, que custa quase o mesmo. O último possui algumas vantagens, como os tempos de duração da bateria extremamente longos e, obviamente, o módulo LTE integrado. Ambas as versões são resfriadas passivamente. O modelo Intel, por outro lado, apresenta o modo Outdoor+ muito mais brilhante da tela e é obviamente compatível com aplicativos de 64 bits, então você pode usar o Galaxy Book S Intel como um portátil Windows "normal".
Isso nos leva à próxima comparação, porque você pode obter dispositivos muito mais poderosos por cerca de 1.100 Euros (~US$ 1.243). Esses dispositivos serão um pouco mais pesados e não serão resfriados passivamente, mas ainda oferecem tempos de duração de bateria mais longos, tela comparável e apenas muito mais desempenho, o que definitivamente será perceptível nos próximos anos. Essa também é a razão pela qual não podemos recomendar O Galaxy Book S com o processador Intel.
O Galaxy Book S com o processador ARM tinha algumas vantagens em comparação com os portáteis Windows "regulares". A implementação da CPU Intel melhora a compatibilidade, mas algumas regiões não recebem o modem LTE, e o tempo de duração da bateria também é muito menor. Em suma, a concorrência oferece pacotes globais muito melhores pelo dinheiro.
O novo processador Lakefield é bastante interessante, mas requer o suporte de aplicativos. Na pior das hipóteses, você obtém o desempenho de um processador Atom de quatro núcleos. A eficiência pode ser ótima quando funciona, mas teremos que esperar e ver se o conceito será bem-sucedido.
