Quando os usuários veem o "Base Model", eles podem assumir que seria mais lento e teria menos recursos do que o "Advanced Model". Isso não poderia estar mais longe da verdade, porque o Base Model é tão rápido quanto o Advanced Model e com dois recursos (compartimento SATA de 2,5 polegadas e RJ-45) não encontrados no segundo. De fato, é ainda mais leve e funciona mais frio. Os usuários estão obtendo o mesmo design de chassi e qualidade de construção em todas as configurações.
Em vez disso, o que torna o Base Model muito mais acessível do que o Advanced Model é sua falta de recursos de gama alta pelos quais os gamers mainstream podem não se importar muito. A GPU GTX 1070 Max-Q, o resfriamento da câmara de vapor, a iluminação RGB por tecla, a tela de 144 Hz e tempos de resposta super rápidos, são todas opções apenas para o Advanced Model. O que mais importa é o desempenho real dos jogos, e é aqui que o Base Model se destaca de igual a igual com o Advanced Model GTX 1060 Max-Q, enquanto custa centenas de dólares a menos.
As principais desvantagens são semelhantes às do Advanced Model, incluindo os ventiladores barulhentos nos jogos e as teclas rasas do teclado. A bateria menor diminui o tempo de duração em cerca de uma hora e fica aquém do GS65 e do Aero 15X. O chassi um pouco mais grosso quando comparado ao Advanced Model na verdade, não é um problema, já que é praticamente imperceptível na prática. O design e a experiência do Razer permanecem intactos de cima para baixo.
O preço de varejo do Blade 15 Base Model está dentro dos $200 USD de seus concorrentes mais próximos, como o MSI GS65, HP Pavilion Gaming 15t, ou Gigabyte Aero 15X v8. Para obter a melhor qualidade e rigidez de construção, não hesitaríamos em recomendar o Razer Base Model sobre outros ultra finos.
