O MSI GT83VR tem como alvo apenas um pequeno grupo de usuários, inclusive se você ignorar o preço alto.
Dificilmente um gamer rejeitará o desempenho das duas GPUs Pascal, mas a configuração SLI também tem seus problemas. A lista inclui dependência de controladores, alto consumo de energia e ventoinhas barulhentas: O GT83VR não é para os sensíveis.
O aspecto da mobilidade também não é muito bem coberta. Com 5,5 quilogramas e uma espessura de chassi de 7 centímetros, o portátil marca um novo recorde negativo, portanto, os termos "portátil" e "notebook" não são realmente aplicáveis.
A MSI, no entanto, criou um sistema de 18-polegadas como um substituto de desktop, e é muito mais convincente quando você olha para ele desde esta perspectiva. Começando com as portas, a capacidade de manutenção (insuficiente) até as ferramentas: O GT83VR está feito para gamers que não desejam fazer compromisso algum em termos de recursos e desempenho e que também gostam de "afinar" o seu sistema (controle da ventoinha, overclocking, etc.).
O teclado mecânico imbatível confirma a afirmação da liderança da MSI no segmento de gama alta. O som e as temperaturas também conseguem convencer. No entanto, o próximo modelo definitivamente deveria estar equipado com um painel UHD, assim a configuração SLI teria mais sentido. O atual painel FHD não é um desafio para as placas de vídeo.
Com uma pontuação final de 87%, o MSI GT83VR consegue derrotar o concorrente SLI Schenker XMG U727.
