Para ser franco, a configuração atual do MSI GS65 faz pouco para resolver as reclamações que explicamos na Análise de maio do anterior SKU. As maiores desvantagens continuam sendo o acabamento questionável e a rigidez desapontadora (resultando em inevitáveis rangidos durante o uso), bem como os procedimentos de manutenção desnecessariamente difíceis e dispositivos de entrada medíocres. No entanto, a configuração comparativamente mais baixa de hoje, impulsionada por uma GTX 1060 e Core i7-8750H (e SSD NVMe menor de 256 GB), consegue sobreviver aos nossos testes de estresse sintético sem recorrer ao afogamento no lado da CPU ou da GPU, o que é uma melhoria bem-vinda em relação ao modelo GTX 1070 Max-Q que analisamos anteriormente. Correspondentemente, as temperaturas da superfície também apresentam uma queda significativa, como resultado do que parece ser um resfriamento um pouco mais agressivo em conjunto com uma GPU especialmente menos faminta por energia.
O resto do pacote, no entanto, é bastante positivo. O GS65 é ilusoriamente leve e relativamente silencioso sob carga. A tela anti-reflexo de 144 Hz possui boa precisão de cores e saturação, além de excelentes ângulos de visão (mesmo que o brilho e o contraste possam ser melhores). Além do espaçamento e da falta de um leitor de cartões, a conectividade está quase no nível do Aero 15X. E, finalmente, a máquina oferece um desempenho robusto devido à configuração, mesmo que a GTX 1060 não seja poderosa o suficiente para aproveitar ao máximo o esplendor de uma taxa de atualização de 144 Hz em jogos modernos (ainda assim, qualquer coisa acima de 60 quadros por segundo, beneficia).
De um ponto de vista puramente estatístico, apesar de suas notáveis fraquezas, o MSI GS65 continua sendo um dos melhores portáteis para jogos finos e leves atualmente disponíveis.
A $1.849, certamente não é barato, mas o preço é consistente com o de seus pares e talvez até um pouco abaixo. Antes de se comprometer com uma compra, também vale considerar concorrentes mais bem construídos, como o Gigabyte Aero 15X v8 e Razer Blade 15—mas tenha em mente que você pagará um pouco mais pelo privilégio.
