Contra
A vantagem chave do MSI GL72 está em seu preço inicial de apenas $1000 USD. Dado este preço, os usuários obtêm uma poderosa CPU Core i7-6700HQ, GPU GTX 960M, SSD NVMe, unidade ótica modular, e acesso ao interior, em geral, acessível para a resolução de problemas ou para atualizar o armazenamento ou a RAM. As temperaturas e o desempenho são excelentes para os títulos atuais em 1080p e com um headroom de overclocking de GPU razoável via MSI Afterburner.
Muitos dos recortes infelizmente são muito evidentes. Além de não ter teclas iluminadas, a luz de fundo da tela está abaixo da média e o seu painel TN painel precisa de calibração urgente, apenas for desembalado. Os alto falantes têm muita falta de baixos e a duração da bateria é muito curta, inclusive para um portátil de jogos. O ruído da ventoinha e alto e sempre audível sob o uso mais leve do sistema e opções de upgrade avançadas são impossíveis, dado que a GPU e CPU estão integradas. O chassi também está no lado grosso e falta contribuição do departamento de design.
Se o orçamento for apertado, os usuários podem considerar o GL72 pelo seu sólido desempenho nos jogos. De outra forma, o sistema é moderadamente barulhento e é muito limitado em termos de duração de bateria e usabilidade em exteriores.
