O Lenovo ThinkPad T490 é um excelente portátil empresarial com ou sem uma GPU NVIDIA. O modelo sem um chip NVIDIA é um pouco melhor que o tecnicamente mais capaz ThinkPad T490 em algumas áreas, que alavanca sua pontuação geral para 91% dos 90% que outorgamos para o seu irmão equipado com MX250.
Entre outras coisas, nossa unidade de teste oferece uma melhor duração de bateria que o ThinkPad T490 com uma GPU dedicada. O anterior funciona mais frio que o último e não sofre do mesmo ruído irritante do alto-falante que afetava o nosso primeiro dispositivo de teste. A Lenovo praticamente eliminou isso com uma atualização do BIOS, portanto, não deve afetar nenhum SKU ThinkPad T490.
Além disso, a versão Intel do T490 não se afoga quando o é testado com estresse, por conta de seu processador nominalmente mais fraco também. Os outros destaques do primeiro T490 que testamos permanecem também, como a carcaça robusta e leve, os fantásticos dispositivos de entrada junto com a tela brilhante e com cores precisas. Também gostamos muito da versátil seleção de portas e desempenho de CPU acima da média.
Ambos os modelos sofrem dos mesmos inconvenientes. A tela de baixa potência tem tempos de resposta ruins, enquanto a inclusão de apenas um leitor de cartão microSD em vez de um de tamanho completo parece ser uma oportunidade perdida. Da mesma forma, apesar de gostarmos que a Lenovo tenha incluído uma porta Thunderbolt 3, não podemos entender por que a empresa somente permite a utilização de duas faixas de PCIe. Além disso, desmontar e remontar a carcaça é uma dor de cabeça, e a falta da funcionalidade Power Bridge torna o T490 menos flexível que seus antecessores.
Mais frio e mais duradouro: A variante da GPU Intel do Lenovo ThinkPad T490 é melhor do que seu irmão com GPU NVIDIA em algumas áreas e é um fantástico portátil corporativo.
No geral, o T490 com apenas uma GPU Intel deve ser mais do que suficiente para pessoas que não precisam dos recursos gráficos adicionados que a GeForce MX250 traz. Se você gosta de jogar ocasionalmente após o trabalho ou precisa de um portátil no qual você pode processar edições de vídeo, então o T490 com uma GPU NVIDIA seria uma melhor opção em nossa opinião.
