Atualmente não existem muitas alternativas se estiver procurando um portátil empresarial compacto com muito desempenho da CPU. Além do Dell Latitude E5470, o ThinkPad T460p é atualmente o único aparelho de 14 polegadas que pode lidar com software exigente multithread graças aos CPUs quad-core. Este pode ser um motivo suficiente para comprá-lo para alguns usuários – mas o ThinkPad também tem outras vantagens como o chassi robusto, excelentes dispositivos de entrada ou a muito boa tela IPS. A GPU dedicada GeForce definitivamente é digna do cargo adicional, dado que é o dobro de veloz que a placa de vídeo integrada no processador. Problemas menores como a falta da porta USB Type-C, o massivo adaptador de força ou as durações médias da bateria, portanto, não são tão graves.
Um ponto não pode ser compensado facilmente: Com o passar do tempo, a pasta térmica e ventoinhas cheias de poeira, pode haver afogamentos, bem como inconvenientes superfícies quentes inclusive quando não usar ferramentas sintéticas de estresse. Você poderia argumentar que este problema é muito menor, na prática – mas quem compra um aparelho como o T460p se não quiser usar o desempenho?
A temperaturas da CPU de cerca de 100 °C mostra o que os usuários podem esperar durante o verão.
Se puder viver com as altas temperaturas, não há motivo para evitar o T460p, mas pode ser uma boa ideia usar ferramentas como TPFanControl para ajustar o controle da ventoinha neste caso.
