Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

O Lenovo ThinkPad 13 (2017) é um portátil empresarial de nível de entrada muito sólido. O desempenho do portátil justifica seu preço de compra de 1.230 Euros (~$1329). Os compradores recebem um veloz Intel Core i7-7500U que pode desenvolver uma grande parte de seu potencial, inclusive durante as cargas (sem afogamentos térmicos). O SSD de 512-GB operas de forma veloz e agora está atualizado graças á interface PCIe. A memória de trabalho de 8 GB DDR4 é suficiente para  a maioria dos aplicativos de escritório e pode ser expandido através de um segundo módulo, quando necessário.

O Lenovo ThinkPad 13 (2017) chama a atenção na categoria empresarial, principalmente com sua boa razão de preço-desempenho. Os usuários que não desejem um leitor SmartCard e que possam aceitar a garantia de 12 meses deveriam dar uma olhada mais de perto na linha ThinkPad 13.

Como foi mencionado, a ausência de um leitor SmartCard que está disponível opcionalmente, podem levar a que alguns compradores opte por portáteis que possuam este recurso. No geral, gostamos muito do Lenovo ThinkPad 13 (2017). O portátil ganha pontos principalmente com seus bons dispositivos de entrada e um bom desempenho geral. A tela é um pouco confusa, dado que fornece boas taxas de brilho, por um lado, mas tem uma baixa cobertura de cores. No entanto, esses pontos de crítica não deveriam desempenhar um papel decisivo, se o aparelho for usado como um substituto de desktop com uma estação docking opcional.
