A Lenovo chama sua série Y700 de a solução de jogos de gama baixa que também oferece experiência multimídia. Ao julgar sob este pretexto, a atualização é um sucesso, dado que seus componentes básicos são excelentes. A qualidade da tela é muito boa, com tempo de resposta rápidos, qualidade de construção melhorada sobre a geração anterior, e o sistema não experimenta afogamentos durante os jogos. A duração da bateria é muito boa com o Optimus habilitado e as duas baias de armazenamento o tornam muito mais prático que o seu predecessor como uma máquina de jogos.

As desvantagens do Y700 de 15,6-polegadas saem à luz depois de gastar um pouco mais com o portátil. A jogada está nos detalhes, dado que a reprodução de cores é apenas média e não há USB Tipo-C para deixar o aparelho preparado para o futuro. Os recortes vão ainda mais profundo dado que os usuários que optam por um SKY de gama inferior terminarão com uma GTX 960M com a metade da VRAM. A falta de NVMe, mDP, e Macro keys dedicadas separam ainda mais a série Y700 das grandes máquinas como o G752 ou GT72S.

Os gamers com um orçamento apertado de cerca $1000 USD devem considerar o Y700 de 15,6-polegadas, dado que atualmente é um dos sistemas mais econômicos com uma GTX 960M junto com o Acer Aspire V15 Nitro. Recomendamos deixar de lado as opções da tela UHD e táctil em favor de um SKU com HD secundário e GTX 960M com 4 GB de VRAM.
