O LG Gram 17 é melhor para os usuários que desejam uma tela grande de 17 polegadas, mas que se desanimam pelas suas dimensões normalmente incômodas. É extraordinariamente leve e resistente para torná-lo um dos melhores portáteis em sua categoria de tamanho para os viajantes. Se você acha que a maioria dos Ultrabooks não oferece espaço suficiente na tela, então o Gram 17 deve estar na sua lista.
O preço a pagar por um portátil tão leve de 17 polegadas será alto. Apesar de sua composição em liga de metal e especificações MIL-STD 810G, o Gram 17 está longe de ser tão rígido quanto o XPS 15, o Spectre x360 15, ou mesmo a maioria dos outros Ultrabooks. Os proprietários terão que ter cuidado para não danificar a tampa frágil durante as viagens.
Outras desvantagens notáveis incluem as teclas e o clickpad suaves, a capacidade de manutenção não amigável para o usuário, a qualidade média de áudio e o desempenho do Core i7 abaixo da média. A LG poderia ter reduzido o preço de entrada, incluindo uma opção Core i5 e um SSD menor, sem afetar o desempenho geral do sistema. Por $ 1.500 USD, os usuários podem comprar um sistema mais robusto e significativamente mais rápido Dell XPS 15 para fazer que o Gram 17 pareça atraente. Se a grande tela 17 polegadas não lhe agradar, então poderia estar melhor com um Ultrabook tradicional e 13 ou 15 polegadas.
