Focado no essencial. A versão mais nova do P55W da Gigabyte não mudou muito isso. Enquanto o predecessor utilizou uma GeForce GTX 970M, o novo modelo está equipado com uma GTX 1060 - e essa é uma diferença muito notória.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

As diversas edições do Gigabyte P55W sempre conseguiram dar no alvo entre desempenho e preço - e na versão 6 infelizmente não é diferente. A mudança da GeForce GTX 970 para uma GTX 1060 resulta em um ameno de 50 % no desempenho 3D, embora o preço não tenha mudado (1600 Euro / ~$1710). O slogan "Mais valor pelo seu dinheiro" acerta em cheio.

A aparência externa não mudou nada - o chassi e a boa seleção de portas físicas, os muito bons dispositivos de entrada e os alto falantes regulares permanecem iguais. Mais uma vez, a Gigabyte usa uma CPU Skylake CPU com 16 GB de RAM, assim o sistema tem poder para poupar e consegue lidar com tarefas exigentes sem diminuir muito sua velocidade. A duração da bateria também não foi realmente afetada. 

Em comparação com o predecessor, parece que os novos portáteis devem dar uns passos para trás em algumas áreas. A tela tem uma razão de contraste muito inferior e a distribuição do brilho deu um giro para pior. Isto é notável principalmente porque os painéis - pelo menos de acordo com seu número de modelo e tipo - são iguais. O ultrarrápido SSD Samsung com o qual o P55W v5 foi equipado teve que abrir caminho para uma unidade muito mais lenta de Transcend. As emissões de ruído também são piores agora - particularmente perturbantes são as flutuações com uso intenso.

Considerando tudo, o P55W v6 é uma evolução boa e bem sucedida da série para jogos - e a 1600 Euro (~$1710), o usuários recebe muito desempenho 3D pelo dinheiro. O Asus ROG Strix GL502VM equipado de forma similar é o único outro sistema com a mesma razão preço-desempenho. Os usuários que não precisem tanto desempenho para jogos podem economizar muito dinheiro dando uma olhada no Acer Aspire VX5-591G por cerca de 1000 Euros (~$1070). Os gamers que precisem ainda de mais desempenho do que o P55W v6 pode oferecer precisam se preparar para gastar muito dinheiro: o Acer Predator 15 G9-593, por exemplo, é vendido por cerca de 2.500 Euros (~$2670).
