Nossa lista de reclamações encolheu desde a análise do Latitude 7390 do mês passado, parcialmente graças a diferenças de configuração com a unidade de teste de hoje, e parcialmente apenas porque alguns desses itens podem ser um produto de idiossincrasias das próprias máquinas individuais. A atualização para um Core i7 certamente traz consigo algumas vantagens de desempenho - principalmente durante cargas sustentadas, onde as velocidades não são apenas melhores, mas também mais consistentes, no geral. No entanto, para a grande maioria dos usuários, o Core i5 é mais do que poderoso e a redução de custos pode torná-lo uma opção mais atraente. Grande parte da mesma lógica se aplica ao SSD NVMe (versus a opção convencional M.2 SATA que vimos na unidade de teste Latitude 7390 do mês passado) que é mais rápido, mas também gera mais calor e tem um preço maior. Mais surpreendentemente, no entanto, a tela táctil antirreflexo nesta configuração é verdadeiramente antirreflexo; não traz pontos negativos em comparação ao painel convencional (não táctil) do mês passado.
É certamente caro, mas há poucos outros portáteis em sua classe, tão impressionantes quanto o Latitude 7390.
A longa lista de pros ainda se aplica. O 7390 possui um acabamento impecável e uma construção robusta, ao mesmo tempo em que tem dimensões pequenas e é leve. A manutenção é fácil graças à tampa inferior removível. A seleção completa de portas e as opções de segurança robustas serão apreciadas pelos guerreiros da estrada empresariais e pelos departamentos de TI corporativos. O teclado e o touchpad, da unidade de teste atual, foram muito bons no geral e o painel da tela continua atraente, apesar das diferenças nos componentes introduzidos pela capacidade de toque. Finalmente, o dispositivo permanece em silêncio na maior parte do tempo, e os tempos de duração da bateria são longos. Acrescente uma garantia de 3 anos no local e você tem um concorrente muito forte dentro do segmento empresarial.
A $2.197, certamente é caro, mas há poucos outros portáteis em sua classe, tão impressionantes quanto o Latitude 7390. O Lenovo X1 Carbon e o HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 da HP, são provavelmente os principais concorrentes - mas seria difícil errar com qualquer uma dessas máquinas, honestamente.
