Contra
O Latitude 5491 com CPU i7-8550H hexa-core e Nvidia GeForce MX130 supera os modelos Latitude 5490 com CPUs ULV e gráficos integrados - às vezes substancialmente. É claro que, para se beneficiar dos dois núcleos de CPU adicionais, o aplicativo deve ser projetado para aproveitar os encadeamentos adicionais. Além do considerável aumento no desempenho, o Latitude 5491 preenche todas as caixas de seleção corretas, pois ainda é o mesmo portátil corporativo bem projetado e seguro, com excelentes dispositivos de entrada e boa ergonomia.
Dito isto, há definitivamente espaço para melhorias: o novo Latitude esquenta muito sob carga e a como resultado a sustentabilidade do turbo boost é um pouco pobre. Os ventiladores têm que trabalhar mais e o sistema é mais barulhento do que antes. A Dell também decidiu usar a mesma tela táctil FHD com a qual o Latitude 5490 está equipado. O painel deixa muito a desejar, pois o brilho é muito baixo para uso em exteriores e a precisão de cores não impressiona. Além disso, o novo portátil vem com um adaptador de energia maior e muito mais pesado, e dura menos com uma carga.
Os guerreiros da estrada que se concentram principalmente no processamento de texto, planilhas e navegação na Web provavelmente estarão em melhor situação com o Latitude 5490, que apresenta uma duração de bateria mais longa e não fica tão quente ou barulhento. Os usuários que estão satisfeitos com o desempenho que uma CPU ULV tem a oferecer também podem considerar os excelentes ThinkPad T480 ou T480s da Lenovo.
