Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

AeroBook Chuwi é um clone decente do Apple MacBook de 12 polegadas. O portátil chinês acerta em várias coisas; o design é de alto nível, a qualidade de construção é excelente e o teclado e o trackpad são muito bons, considerando o preço de $500.

Infelizmente, como o MacBook 12, o AeroBook não impressiona em termos de potência. Além disso, a Chuwi não pode confiar na otimização de software como o MacBook. Embora o portátil compacto da Apple possa suportar a transmissão de vídeo 4K e realizar trabalhos de escritório decentemente complexos graças às otimizações no MacOS, o AeroBook fica aquém dessas tarefas e é relegado aos mesmos casos de uso como Chromebooks e outros portáteis Windows baratos. 

No geral, o Chuwi Aerobook é um portátil de boa aparência feito para o consumo de conteúdo leve, notas de escrita e trabalho de escritório básico. Qualquer coisa mais pesada deixará os usuários querendo (e esperando) mais.
