To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Nada sobre o VivoBook Pro 17 é particularmente chamativo, mas, novamente, esta não é uma máquina que procura quebrar barreiras em qualquer categoria específica. Em vez disso, é uma proposta de valor geral, um recurso para aqueles que gostariam de possuir uma máquina com desempenho diário competente e completo e capacidade para jogos ocasionais, mas que não estão interessados em pagar muito por estética de alto nível, design e os sinos e assobios afiliados.

Nada sobre o VivoBook Pro 17 é particularmente chamativo, mas, novamente, esta não é uma máquina que procura quebrar barreiras em qualquer categoria específica. A máquina também possui uma seleção de portas de qualidade inferior, uma carcaça de plástico, manutenção difícil, um teclado medíocre com um layout estranho, altas temperaturas de superfície e uma duração fraca.
