Muitos dos nossos comentários sobre o Strix G GL731 de 17,3 polegadas se aplicam aqui para o Strix G GL531 de 15,6 polegadas, pois eles compartilham a mesma linguagem geral de design com hardware interno similar. Em particular, desvantagens como a manutenção não amigável ao usuário, pequenas teclas de seta, bateria de curta duração e ventoinhas barulhentas, todas poderiam ser revisadas para criar um modelo melhor da próxima geração. A capacidade de personalizar a luz do teclado e a barra LED de forma independente seria especialmente útil.
As melhores qualidades do GL531 são seus poderosos alto-falantes de 3,5 W e o design do chassi. Para um portátil que é principalmente de plástico, as superfícies texturizadas realmente o elevam para parecer mais como uma máquina de jogos de ponta quando comparado a outros designs de plástico como no Acer Nitro 5 ou no MSI GP e série GL.
O preço é a maior vantagem. Por cerca de US $1.600, o sistema custa várias centenas de dólares a menos que a série Zephyrus S enquanto oferece muitas das mesmas especificações e opções de desempenho. Para economizar ainda mais, recomendamos a utilização da SKU GTX 1660 Ti, pois ela é apenas cerca de 10% mais lenta nos jogos, quando não é responsável por nenhum recurso específico do RTX.
