Nossas análises e conclusões se baseiam nas condições de fábrica do portátil. Dado que as unidades Xotic PC vêm com overclock e prontos para seu funcionamento, nossas medições relacionadas com relação às temperaturas, ruído da ventoinha, desempenho, e duração da bateria podem ser diferentes do de uma GL552VW. De fato, o desempenho bruto da GPU do nosso Xotic PC GL552VW está consistentemente afrente de outros sistemas com uma GTX 960M stock com o muito tangível custo de uma ventoinha mais barulhenta, maior consumo de energia, e duração de bateria mais curta. Essas desvantagens provavelmente perturbem menos os usuários à procura de um portátil para jogos que raramente seria utilizado longe de uma tomada.
Os motivos para deixar de lado o Asus GL552 e optar pelo MSI GE62 incluem o menor tamanho e o peso mais leve do último, sem sacrificar qualidade da carcaça. O portátil MSI também é mais acessível para manutenções e com um visual mais legal, porém, com um sistema de resfriamento mais fraco e com componentes mais quentes sob estresse.
O peso e o tamanho são as maiores desvantagens do GL552VW. Se os usuários puderem viver com um portátil para jogos feito principalmente para interiores, então a Asus oferece uma excelente tela IPS 1080p, bom headroom de overclock, e um chassi rígido sem frescuras. Os recortes e recursos são muito aparentes em comparação com modelos mais caros como o Asus G752 ou MSI GT72S.
