O FX502VM é vendido por algumas centenas de dólares a menos que o GL502VM inclusive depois de assumir configurações de CPU e de armazenamento idênticas. Ele faz sacrifícios, é claro, incluindo a falta de uma porta USB Type-C e uma GTX 1060 com apenas a metade da VRAM. O sistema ainda é uma máquina de jogos muito balanceada inclusive depois de considerar os recortes, dado que estas desvantagens são quase intangíveis sobre os jogos em 1080p. Além disso, os pros e contras do GL502VM se aplicam aqui incluindo o ruído relativamente forte da ventoinha, tampa flexível, e ausência do Thunderbolt 3. O GL502VM já é um bom portátil para jogos e o FX502VM está a apenas um degrau abaixo para um preço mais acessível. O chassi é notoriamente mais fino que a série MSI GE/GL e é, sem dúvida, mais atraente que a série HP Omen sendo mais acessível que a atual linha Gigabyte.
Embora possamos dar ao sistema atual uma sólida recomendação para gamers com um orçamento, os compradores deveriam evitar absolutamente os SKUs com o modelo TN de gama mais baixa, como o que temos aqui e deveriam investir na opção IPS de gama superior. O painel TN não tem lugar nesta categoria dado que o seu brilho, cores, e contraste são pobres, inclusive por padrões de portáteis econômicos deixados de lado em uma máquina para jogos de $1000 USD.
