To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . No exterior, o Aorus X7 v7 se parece muito ao seu antecessor. As atualizações e melhorias foram realizadas principalmente no interior. Além disso, o novo modelo também possui um slot M.2-2280 adicional e agora pode levar até dois SSDs NVMe ao mesmo tempo.

O Aorus X7 v7 é um portátil de jogos bem feito que vem com seu próprio conjunto único de inconvenientes, apesar do seu alto preço.

A 7ma versão do Aorus possui um processador quad-core Core i7-7820HK de 7ma geração, resultando em uma aumento mínimo de desempenho, quando comparado com o predecessor. Ainda assim, a combinação do quad-core Kaby Lake e a GeForce GTX 1070 é poderosa o suficiente para rodar todos os jogos atuais sem problemas, em muitos casos, inclusive na resolução nativa QHD da tela. Graças à Nvidia G-Sync, as taxas de quadros são sincronizadas com o painel de 120 Hz do portátil.

O NVMe SSD garante um sistema muito fluente e o disco rígido de 2,5 polegadas de 1 TB oferece armazenamento de jogos em abundância. Ambas as unidades podem ser facilmente trocadas e atualizadas, no entanto, todo o lado inferior deve ser removido devido à falta de escotilhas de manutenção dedicadas.

Nós gostamos do alto brilho da tela mate QHD em particular, mas foi decepcionante em outros aspectos, como sua baixa relação de contraste, ângulos de visão pobres e uma cobertura de espaço de cores comparativamente baixa. Nesta faixa de preços, esperamos mais. Pelo menos um desejo de amplos ângulos de visão pode ser cumprido com o SKU 4K do X7 v7.
