Como a menor oferta da Aorus, o X3 Plus v5 tem muitas coisas como alvo enquanto faltam algumas coisas nas áreas vitais. A tela de 13,9-polegadas é especialmente estranha, pois tem uma visão fenomenal com sua ampla gama de cores, resolução densa, contraste muito profundo, e retro iluminação brilhante, porém, decepciona nos pequenos detalhes como na distribuição do brilho médio, cores médias e escala de cinzas sem calibração, tempos de resposta médios, e PWM para todas as configurações do brilho mais escuras que o máximo.

Se a Aorus conseguir colocar um chassi mais forte e uma tela melhor, então o X3 Plus seria fácil de recomendar para qualquer pessoa à procura de um portátil de jogos super pequeno com o poder bruto da maioria das soluções de 17-polegadas. Tomara que a inevitável remodelação resolva estes problemas e adiciona ainda mais recursos no já cheio portátil, incluindo o Thunderbolt 3, G-Sync, e suporte para tela táctil.

O Aorus X3 Plus v5 é realmente o mais rápido portátil para jogos de 13,9-polegadas sem compromissos de desempenho e com a maioria dos recursos encontrados em portáteis maiores. Ele certamente poderia se beneficiar de uma montagem mais forte como a maioria dos portáteis para jogos concorrentes como o Razer Blade 14 e MSI GS40 são menos flexíveis e mais rígidos.
