Kaby Lake ainda não chegou para o TravelMate. O processador Core i7 instalado, da geração Skylake, no entanto, fornece um desempenho de aplicativos mais que suficiente. Graças à unidade gráfica GeForce, muitos jogos de computador atuais e mais antigos podem ser jogados. O portátil não produz muito ruído durante todo o uso intenso. Ele inclusive funciona silenciosamente durante o modo inativo, sob certas condições. As temperaturas também são moderadas. Um veloz SSD garante um sistema ágil. Muita capacidade de armazenamento também está disponível A escotilha de manutenção presente permite substituir facilmente ambas as unidade. O teclado instalado é satisfatório em total. Ele é completado pela garantia de três anos.

A fez um bom trabalho com o TravelMate P259-MG-71UU, mas a tela pobre evita obter uma melhor pontuação.

A tela instalada é escura, tem baixo contraste, e dependente dos ângulos de visão. Esperamos um painel IPS muito melhor em um aparelho de 1000-Euros (~$1058) como o TravelMate. Um teclado iluminado também deve ser parte da configuração básica. A duração da bateria média  também deve ser mencionada: Um portátil que está destinada explicitamente para usuários profissionais deveriam ter mais a oferecer neste aspecto. O TravelMate P259-MG deve ser visto em breve como um poli funcional de 15,6 polegadas para o casa, em vez de um portátil empresarial.
